So, you enjoyed Animal Farm Karen? I thought it was good too. Have you read 1984? Also very good! I've not read Of Mice and Men. I saw the movie and it was quite painful. I don't think I'll ever be able to read the book. Glad you liked it though! :)

message 25: by Karen (new)

Karen Ireland (book-vixen) Hi Loretta,

Yes I enjoyed both stories:-), I have requested 1984 by George Orwell from my local library if its not here in the next week or two might buy it.

Yes Of Mice and Men was a hard read but the story touch me alot as that is more then like how people with special need where see as in those days.

I have to say I like John Steinbeck as an author and hope to read more of his stories as well as George Orwell.

Susan O (sozmore) Love your reading corner Karen! I read and really enjoyed "1984" and a couple by Steinbeck - East of Eden and The Grapes of Wrath- which I liked a lot.

You've read a couple that I hope to get to soon - Great Expectations and North and South or at least something by Gaskell. It is such fun reading classics and there are always more to read. :)
