It's September! School is back in session. The weather is finally starting to cool off. Football season is starting. It's time for all things pumpkin spice. You know what it's also a good time for? Reading!

So what you are reading this month?

Diana (dpfriend) | 1 comments I just finished "The Blue Bath" by Mary Walters-Sayre and have just started Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling.

I am listening to The Eighty-Dollar Champion: Snowman, The Horse That Inspired a Nation by Elizabeth Letts

I just finished reading the first book in a inspirational series by Ronie Kendig called "Nightshade." I really enjoyed it and immediately dove into the sequel called "Digitalis," which I am really enjoying. Well, all 2.5 chapters that I have read thus far. (Sleep had to win out over reading eventually.)

I finished Laura McHugh's Arrowood last night. I loved this suspenseful, gothic tale of a broken woman returning to her childhood home in Keokuk, Iowa where her toddler twin sisters were kidnapped years ago. Sort of a cross between Gillian Flynn's Dark Places and V.C. Andrew's My Sweet Audrina (and those are compliments!)

May | 13 comments Oh, Arrowood sounds like one I would enjoy. I have just started My Grandfather's Blessings by Rachel Naomi Remen, M.D. It's subtitled Stories of Strength, Refuge, and Belonging. The dedication reads "for everyone who has been given more blessings than they have received". That thought hooked me before I'd even begun.
