Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments Hi Guys: I just finished supper which consisted of leftover Thai peanut pizza with loads of chicken, scallions and red peppers!!! Yum! The cats were quite enthused and I had to share the chicken after rinsing all the good stuff off of it. Now I am ready for one of Malina's brownies. (-:

Chris
Oh, it's 6:11 PM here in MN.

Lorrea - WhatChaReadin'? (whatchatreadin) Chris is there a recipe for that? Its 7:12 I'm standing in my kitchen waiting for the kiddos to finish their dinner and trying to figure out what I'm going to eat.

message 6: by Christine (new)

Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments I wish there was. This is leftover pizza from a dinner out last week. During supper we decided we might like to try to reconstruct it though. If we succeed, I'll let you know, Lorrea!

Chris

Malina, it's 6:47 PM and I am sitting here waiting for your brownies to be done. Hey, I saw your reply to the new member Glen who writes medical thrillers--what kind of physician are you? Are you practicing? I'm an infecious disease MD--just retired in October. I loved my job at Mayo Clinic, but it got to be way too much and taking over my whole life so I decided to turn in my stethoscope for a library card. (-: I've actually been to Boston and Cambridge many times for conferences. Absolutely love these cities. Especially loved the many treks to the North End (I am half Italian). Do you have a fav restaurant in the North End?

Chris

Victoria Dougherty (goodreadscomvictoria_dougherty) | 60 comments It's 8:07 pm and I've just eaten a chicken gyro dinner that my 12 year-old son prepared. My son says at dinner: You know, if you're married and over 40, you just don't care about your body anymore and stop working out and stuff. To which I said: What do you mean by that?

Malina, I can totally relate. And I don't know how the primary care guys can possibly survive. I think taking some time off on your part was a brilliant move! mIt takes a long time to decompress.

Returning to subject at hand, it is 8:41 PM and I am watching the hated Red Sox beating my miserable Twins. Making matters worse, I am sitting on the floor as one of little cat urchins is completely sprawled out on my chair.

Chris

Did you have a rough day??

Lorrea - WhatChaReadin'? (whatchatreadin) put a dab of brandy on the kids tongue, it will knock her out and you can enjoy your movie in wine bliss!!

Lorrea - WhatChaReadin'? (whatchatreadin) I know...it was just a joke. My grandmother talks about putting liquor on our gums when we were teething. She said there were never any problems!

message 33: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Dougherty (goodreadscomvictoria_dougherty) | 60 comments My grandmother said babies in her time (in Europe) were given mashed poppy seeds aka heroin and that it worked like a charm. Of course, on occasion the babies didn't wake up.

Ter'e Crow Lindsay (terecrow) | 798 comments It's 4:58 and I am getting ready to climb up on a ladder and get a large dish down so I can pack it. Then I am going to go hang a quilt in my laundry room. Doesn't everyone have a quilt in their laundry room????? Never know when I might be folding clothes and wanna take a nap. From the sounds of this group, I just might have to stick a bottle of Grand Marnier in the laundry room....for my....uh.....gums.....yeh, for my gums.

Lorrea - WhatChaReadin'? (whatchatreadin) Be careful on that ladder...I've got some Everclear for my gums....I won't feel them for a week!! LOL!!

5:00pm- now waiting to go pick up from soccer practice and thinking about what to make for dinner....wouldn't mind a nice martini to help me think ;)
