What Time Is It And What Are You Doing?

5:16. Waiting to start dinner. Staring at my book across the room, trying to will it come to me.

Chris
Oh, it's 6:11 PM here in MN.

Chris

It's 6:07 pm and I'm waiting for a batch of brownies to come out of the oven. Yum!"
Malina, it's 6:47 PM and I am sitting here waiting for your brownies to be done. Hey, I saw your reply to the new member Glen who writes medical thrillers--what kind of physician are you? Are you practicing? I'm an infecious disease MD--just retired in October. I loved my job at Mayo Clinic, but it got to be way too much and taking over my whole life so I decided to turn in my stethoscope for a library card. (-: I've actually been to Boston and Cambridge many times for conferences. Absolutely love these cities. Especially loved the many treks to the North End (I am half Italian). Do you have a fav restaurant in the North End?
Chris

Chris, I've been practicing internal medicine for 14 yr and finally got burnt out, primary care is just overwhelming nowadays, so I quit and I will be trying out urgent care now, will see how it goes. In the meantime taking a break for a few months, definitely enjoying it!

Malina, I can totally relate. And I don't know how the primary care guys can possibly survive. I think taking some time off on your part was a brilliant move! mIt takes a long time to decompress.
Returning to subject at hand, it is 8:41 PM and I am watching the hated Red Sox beating my miserable Twins. Making matters worse, I am sitting on the floor as one of little cat urchins is completely sprawled out on my chair.
Chris

Definitely a bummer. )-:

Ooops, no wonder no one was at the Good Thriller Keurig.

Did you have a rough day??

Thanks for asking Diane :), still in the contract signing phase, few things to iron out, for now I'm happy to have some time off!
5:00pm- now waiting to go pick up from soccer practice and thinking about what to make for dinner....wouldn't mind a nice martini to help me think ;)

See? And we're all worried about rubbing a bit of booze on their gums?

My grandmother swore by tequila for that purpose.

:D! Make that a double!

Yes, just a wee bit. You should have started early with the Manhattan.

The only problem I see is that you should've had two!

Good. We will enable you too. Tell you things you want to hear like it is ok to take a break, you deserve it! Haha.
