Isla is in her senior year at the School of America, Paris, and she’s had a crush on Josh Wasserstein since they were freshmen. A chance encounter during summer break holds promise, however. Waiting for Josh to make his move, she hangs with and confides in best friend, Kurt.

It’s Paris, New York City and Barcelona, it’s young love. What’s not to like? Teen angst on steroids, is what. I confess that I am way past this stage in life, and I was irritated more often than not by their inane “conversation,” miscommunication and parental drama. That being said, I do recognize the huge appeal for the target audience, and I may actually recommend this (and the other books in the trilogy) to my niece. At least it was a fast read, and it satisfied several challenge tasks, so it was not a total waste.
