As a member of the team I'm very eager to get started. As an author I'm thrilled with the opportunities B2B is giving to authors and I look forward to meeting and chatting to new readers.

Thank you so much Belinda. I can't wait to start cracking on the sequel.

Good luck with your first book, Cherry. It's a very exciting time.

Hello, Belinda! We are correcting a lot of errors and simplifying a LOT this year! :) If there are any hitches at all, let us know immediately! :)

Will do

I might be since my latest release is historical fiction Detour

What event does your book center on? Mine takes place mostly in Northern Arizona between the years of 1898-1945, and focuses on major inflection points in the life of a Hopi medicine woman and her family. Anyhow, if you're game, I am.

It's a visit that then-president Bill Clinton made to Hyde Park, NY for a "Town Hall." The story isn't about the president, it's about the effect that his announced arrival had on people in Hyde Park. BTW, I lived in AZ for about 19 years, Tucson and Phoenix.

I just checked out your link to your book, it looks really good, I put it on my want to read list :) I can see you are much further along in this publishing process than I am. I'm going to check out some of your book marketing links soon. Cha'risa's Gift is my first novel, and it's been an interesting journey, to say the least. I thought it was a big deal to finish the book, never realizing all l I was going to need to learn about marketing! Honestly, some days I even find navigating discussions on Goodreads a challenge. For instance, I realized I have no idea how to actually get one of these showcases for historical fiction started! Do you?

I'll look for your book.

Glad to know I made your day :)

If you scroll down there is a discussion going on that is showcasing books by genres (part of the brain to books fairgrounds?) Anyhow, I'm curious how that works, and how one might be able to add historical fiction to this list.

Hello, Widad, and Devorah!
We currently have a poll on Facebook for genre voting. If someone volunteers for Historical Fiction Genre Manager, then we can launch a full collection of events around your genre. https://www.facebook.com/groups/95966...
In the meantime, we recommend selecting a primary genre such as suspense, thriller, romance, fantasy, YA, etc. to categorize your book if you are able.
This season we are expanding CyCon across the internet. We have takeovers on Facebook, booths (Conversation Threads) on Goodreads, Blog Hops, Genre Tours, Panel Discussions, Contests... There's a lot to choose from to meet your marketing needs.
You can view our brochure here: https://braintobooks.com/wp-content/u...
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. You can email us at info@braintobooks.com

Blog hop basics: Set up a nice page or post on the website you're using for the hop with the convention graphics, spotlighting something like a story or an excerpt and book, plus any giveaways you're planning.

Hey A.F.
Thanks so much...I was starting to worry my graphics skills wouldn't be enough!

How does one insert photos in each post?"
You mean on Goodreads? You have to save the photos as part of your profile so you can insert the img link. I'm not totally certain you "have to" but that's what I did and it seemed to be the easiest.
Go to your author page and you'll see "see more photos" under your image. There on the right will be an option to "add more photos" Do that and then use the "copy image address" option when you right click to get the address to insert into the img link inside the post.
Wordy I know but hopefully helpful. :)

I have posted a how-to for getting images into Goodreads posts in the files section of the Facebook group. Easy copy and paste html code and instructions on how to find image links.

Thank you very much for this helpful information!

I copy/pasted the link here as clicking on the link in the above post didn't work.

Participants can add their books, yes. Click the bookshelf link, and then do a search in the box on the left of that page. Then click the "add to group" button.

We're changing our format for 2017. Forget everything we've done in the last two years. Come on in, make yourself at home. Talk books. Lounge. Whatever :)
As our authors sign up (opening 1 October 2016 ), Brain to Books adds their profile to the Author Showcase where you can browse their books and they can share what's coming.
