Ahh, there's nothing like settling down with an eagerly-awaited new book in a favorite series. Trouble is, they are always over too quickly!
In this latest installment, Eve Dallas has to find a serial killer who is training an apprentice in the ways of the sniper. Lately, the books have not focused so much on the mystery and whodunnit is usually exposed to the reader early on. I'll be the first to admit that there is a lot of convenient tech cropping up in this futuristic series to aid our heroine in solving her cases, but really the mysteries have become little more than a prop for delving deep into our characters. And I'm perfectly fine with that, as it's the characters I keep coming back to this series for. I've had my latest fix (a satisfying one as usual) and now I have to wait impatiently for the next one to come out in February 2017.
