Nothing But Reading Challenges discussion

Hi All - i am a reading bee and relatively new on goodreads. I almost read a book a week. I recently discovered the "groups" feature on goodreads and would like to be part of discussions on the great books to discover recommendations. I am very interested in quality writings - pretty much all genres except romance/ horror/ erotica - no offenses to anyone :)

I have recently read two great books that i can recommend. Please get good recommendations my way and i am sure to read them and respond back to you with my commentary :).
Coinman: An Untold Conspiracy - Excellent Humor/Satire book with hints at philosophical aspects of life
The Kite Runner - Great fiction on Afganistan's political turmoil!

If you are mostly interested in book discussions, I recommend checking our Books of the Month and Buddy Read threads. If you don't see anything that interest you, you can always nominate book for BOM (when we open nominations) or ask for buddy for specific book.

If you are also looking for recommendations, you might want to check recommendations thread.

Challenges are also great ways to discover new books, either by reading it for specific task, or by just checking what people are reading. But if that's not what interests you, you don't have to play them :)

I am not new to goodreads (i’ve been on here for about 2 years) but i just found the groups idea to be quite cool. I want to read more books this year than last year and i like ya, sci-if, and fantasy (and probably more). Do you have any suggestions?

Hello) I am not new to the Goodreads, but just found groups option) I always liked to read, but in last few years got pretty slow with this hobby of mine) Want to be active again) Like fantasy and science fiction, young adult(I am not that young anymore, but still interested in some titles I missed, detectives))) Yeah, I can admire many things)
