Puddingtalk (Marie) (puddingtalk) | 5154 comments Yay! Ooo I have an idea. Can we start somewhere in LA? My charrie named Bax needs someone to escort him to the camp. The last place I left him was on a train, and monsters were attacking it. Want to start off there?

❤︎Nai Nai❤︎ (goodreadscomnainai) sure! my characters name will be Ella

Puddingtalk (Marie) (puddingtalk) | 5154 comments Ok! Glad you're up for it! Let me find the last thing I wrote in Outside the Camp...

❤︎Nai Nai❤︎ (goodreadscomnainai) okay. :)

Puddingtalk (Marie) (puddingtalk) | 5154 comments A young boy around 14 years old with bright hazel eyes and light brown skin sat in the dilapidated seat of the LA train. His eyes were drawn to the window, where his old town rushed past him at what seemed like the speed of light. His leg jiggled, and his hands twitched.
As they passed the remaining strips of suburbs, the boy's heart clenched. What if he never saw his family again? What if he never got to skip school and hang out with his friends? What if he never got to trip his brothers down the stairs? Maybe running away wasn't such a good idea... suddenly, and acrid, bitter scent filled the train.

❤︎Nai Nai❤︎ (goodreadscomnainai) "UHHHHHHHHHHUHUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" The train crashed back and forth as the passengers started screaming. The windows in the train shattered and a huge brown creature appeared in the middle of the train out of nowhere. Spikes outlined the creatures back, it's skin was oily and wrinkled,it's eyes showed signs of hunger and murder. The monster started to run through the middle of the train and each seat broke and fell down as he ran past them. Dead passengers lay on the floor and others ducked behind the trains seats and started crying. Screams of death filled the train as the monster eyes met the boy with the light brown skin.

Puddingtalk (Marie) (puddingtalk) | 5154 comments Bax froze and began to laugh hysterically. Why was it that as soon as he left his house, literally as soon as he left the city, he was attacked?!? He wondered if the same thing happened to his brother, Umber. Maybe it was only him with the bad luck- "AHHHH!" He screamed, and did what he did best.
He ran.
As a grandchild of the wind, and the son of Hermes, running was all he really could do. Ripping open the door to the next train cart, his stomach lurched as the wind hit his face and the ground rushed beneath him. Without hesitation, he jumped to the other train cart.

❤︎Nai Nai❤︎ (goodreadscomnainai) The monster chased Bax through the train carts and destroyed everything in his way. It screamed and continued to run forward until it was a few feet behind Bax. Humans screamed and hurried to get out of the monsters way as blood splattered on the floor and people fainted with fear. Through the noise, you could hear the sirens of police cars coming toward them.
The monster howled and covered it's ears . It ran after Bax, than slammed his fists into the roof of the train. The creature was injured but it continued running.

Puddingtalk (Marie) (puddingtalk) | 5154 comments Bax's eyes brightened. Loud noises hurt the monsters. Loud noise! He was good at making those! Avoiding the claws of the monster, he reached for the fire alarm and pulled it.
A blaring beeping noise filled the train.

❤︎Nai Nai❤︎ (goodreadscomnainai) The monster howled in pain and his knees began to wobble. It blindly got up and
ran away from the noise. The monster moved away from the train and ran across the road and into a nearby forest and disappeared out of sight. Police cars surrounded the train and they went inside to gather the injured.

Puddingtalk (Marie) (puddingtalk) | 5154 comments Bax couldn't think. He couldn't breathe. His mind went static as he saw the dead bodies around him. Blood leaked onto his shoes.
Maybe that's why his moma was scared to let him go to camp. Tears began to well in his eyes.

What now? He wasn't any good on his own. He didn't know the first thing about being a demigod. He thought it would've involved more candy...not death.

❤︎Nai Nai❤︎ (goodreadscomnainai) A girl the age of Bax was standing ear the broken trains and was staring at him. She was a few feet i front of him and her violet eyes glimmered as she stared at him crying in the night. The girl moved a bit closer and under her hoodie you could see that her hair was a light brown colour and her shoes were covered in blood.

Puddingtalk (Marie) (puddingtalk) | 5154 comments Bax bit his lip and bent over a person with a large gash over her eye. He patted her head and reached into his pack and pulled out a flare gun he stole from a magic thrift shop in LA. Bouncing over to a broken window, he aimed the flare gun outside and let go of the trigger. A flash of pink streamed like a cloudy ribbon into the sky.
"That should get their attention." He said to himself, putting the flair gun back in his backpack. He was just turning around to the door when he saw the girl. "Oh. Hi! Are you ok? What's wrong? Why are you crying? Your eyes are a crazy color! Are they contacts? Speaking of contacts, I have an emergency phone if you need to call someone." To prove it, he pulled out a flip phone.

❤︎Nai Nai❤︎ (goodreadscomnainai) The girl growled at him. "No, I don't need to call someone and my eyes are perfectly normal, thank you." she exclaimed. She looked at Bax's backpack knowing what he had just done with the gun. She stood there in silence than finally spoke. "Do you know why that monster was chasing you?" she asked with a certain expression on her face. The girl took a step closer to Bax and stared at the woman with the gash o the floor. She bent down to check the woman's pulse but got back up when she knew that she was dead.

Puddingtalk (Marie) (puddingtalk) | 5154 comments "Sure do..." Bax said, stepping backwards and pocketing his cellphone. This girl was kinda scary.. and seemed familiar. Like she wasn't normal, excluding the obvious violet eye color. Totally contacts. Bax thought to himself, kinda wanting a pair of his own. But they would be yellow! Ohhh that would be cool-
"Hey wait why do you ask?" He said quickly.

❤︎Nai Nai❤︎ (goodreadscomnainai) The girl grinned and stared down at Bax. "I know you're a half-blood." she said not even caring who was beside them. She pulled down her red hoodie and her auburn hair feel across her shoulders. She took a step backwards and as she moved you could see a glimmering knife hanging from her waist.

Puddingtalk (Marie) (puddingtalk) | 5154 comments "Yeah I am a half-blood! Half black half white!" He played it off. He was proud of himself for that one. His brothers wouldn't have been nearly as quick to reply as he was. "Anyways, nice to meet you... um... what's your name?"

❤︎Nai Nai❤︎ (goodreadscomnainai) The girl rolled her eyes at his little joke. "My name is April." she said eyeing the boy suspiciously. She held out her hand. "And, you are?" she asked looking into his hazel eyes.

Puddingtalk (Marie) (puddingtalk) | 5154 comments "Bax Howards!" He said cheerfully, a little too cheerfully for the chaos that surrounded them. Oh well. That was Bax for you. "Well, hey April, I really really really gotta get outta here." He said, his eyes shifting around the train.

❤︎Nai Nai❤︎ (goodreadscomnainai) April growled and glared at him. "You don't need to make such a big scene when you say your name." she exclaimed . April looked around them to see if anyone was watching."Follow me, I'll take you to camp half blood." she said still watching around as if someone may be spying on them.

Puddingtalk (Marie) (puddingtalk) | 5154 comments "Wha-what? Camp Half Blood? How did you know I was-you aren't a monster, are you?" He asked, stepping backwards, crushing broken glass.

❤︎Nai Nai❤︎ (goodreadscomnainai) April rolled her eyes. "Didn't I just tell you I was a half blood or something?" she asks wondering if she had even told him or not. She gave up and decided to let him answer the question.

Puddingtalk (Marie) (puddingtalk) | 5154 comments "I dunno. Did you?" Bax asked, tilting his head. Well, Bax had no street smarts whatsoever, so he decided to go with it. "Can you really take me there?" He asked while police sirens blared outside.

❤︎Nai Nai❤︎ (goodreadscomnainai) April nodded. "Duh, that's what I'm here for." she glanced at Bax and started walking away from him. After a few steps she turned and motioned for him to follow. "Follow me." she shouted through the noise.

Puddingtalk (Marie) (puddingtalk) | 5154 comments "Ok!" Bax said eagerly. He jogged after her, stepping over the debris.

❤︎Nai Nai❤︎ (goodreadscomnainai) "So, where are you from Bax?" asked April. She jumped over a rock under her and continued walking. Ambulances had arrived beside the train and were picking up the injured. April continued walking while waiting for Bax's answer.

Puddingtalk (Marie) (puddingtalk) | 5154 comments "Los Angeles!" He said with a smile. "It's a really long way to the Camp, I know that much..." As he stepped over the rock, he looked back at the train. "April....what about those people? Are they gonna be ok? Are they dead because of me? I shouldn't have gone on a train, oh no no no." As soon as they were out of sight from the ambulances, he abruptly sat down on the grass. "I'm a murderer. It'sallmyfaultitsallmyfatitsallmyfaultitsallmyfault." He grabbed his head and rocked back and forth. His heartbeat roared in his ears. The shock was finally setting in. In all his life he had never seen dead people before, even living with 4 demigods in his family.

❤︎Nai Nai❤︎ (goodreadscomnainai) "Ya , it sort of was your fault." April said knowingly. She looked at Bax's face and immediately regretted what she had said. "I mean to say that... It wasn't entirely your fault... it's just that...ummm... Well lets just say it wasn't your fault, you weren't the one that knew the monster was going to come there." April reassured Bax. She looked straight in to his hazel eyes , so he would know that she wasn't lying .

Puddingtalk (Marie) (puddingtalk) | 5154 comments Bax stared at the ground and tried to remember to breath. In. Out. In. Out.
Suddenly, his brother Umber came to Bax's mind. He wondered if he had seen anything like this. If he did, Umber never showed it. He was strong. Bax wasn't. There was always someone to help him. To hold his hand.
Bax looked up at April with a trembling lip and held out his hand.

❤︎Nai Nai❤︎ (goodreadscomnainai) (Sorry for the late response, I was busy this week. :( )

April felt bad for him and gently took his hand. She rubbed his palm and spoke in a soft voice. "It's not your fault." she looked at Bax knowing he still wouldn't believe her. But she tried her best.
"Com on." April demanded. "Let's go to camp."

Puddingtalk (Marie) (puddingtalk) | 5154 comments ((I understand :) ))

"Mmkay." Bax said, liking the human contact. He stood up and stared at that ground. "Which way?"

❤︎Nai Nai❤︎ (goodreadscomnainai) (( :) ))

April signed. "Just follow me. We can see the camp ,but mortals can't ,unless they can see through the mist." April turned around and started walking.

Puddingtalk (Marie) (puddingtalk) | 5154 comments Bax wasn't one to question authority. Well, not authority that would keep him alive. So he followed her without any other doubt in his mind. As he walked behind her, his head bowed and his backpack clanging against him, the silence was slowly irritating him. He began to speak.
"Where are you from? Are you from California? Have you ever been to Venice Beach? Or have you gone whale watching? I did that on a field trip. It suckeeeeeddd we saw no whales except a stupid fin a jillion miles away. And the teacher got seasick and puked on my friends shoes. And and and I when I went to the bathroom it found some bread in the toilet so I had to hold in my pee for the entire trip which was 2 hours-" He bumped into a tree. "Oopsies!"

❤︎Nai Nai❤︎ (goodreadscomnainai) April winced. "You are one interesting person, Bax." she exclaimed. "I was born in Boston, but my dad and I travel a lot. So we are never in the same place for to long.' She glanced back at Bax and the tree he just bumped in to."My mom is Nike, the goddess of victory. Do you know who your godly parent is?" she asked him.

Puddingtalk (Marie) (puddingtalk) | 5154 comments "I sure do! Hermes! Just like my brothers. You're interesting too! I bet you saw lots of cool things. Have you ever been to the Statue of Liberty? I've always wanted to throw a tomato at her dress." He said, stepping over a rock.

❤︎Nai Nai❤︎ (goodreadscomnainai) April grunted. "Yes I have, but I haven't thrown a tomato at her." her lips curved in to a smile at the thought. "Where were you born, Bax?" she asked. April glanced back for a few seconds to look at Bax, before turning back around.

Puddingtalk (Marie) (puddingtalk) | 5154 comments "In...um..." Bax held back. His mother really never told him, or any of his brothers. But Bax didn't know that the oldest of his brothers, Umber and Korey, had an impending theory.
That they were all born on Mount Olympus, for whatever reason. Either that or, somewhere in Nevada. "I think somewhere in Nevada. What about you?"

❤︎Nai Nai❤︎ (goodreadscomnainai) "Boston." she exclaimed. "So Bax." she said after a few seconds."Do you have any special powers or something?" April asked loud enough for him to hear. The sky was a dark purple and smoke was everywhere. The scent of something burnt filled the air and April looked back to see the train accident moments ago.
