Scott What was the last selfless or charitable act that you participated in...or what was your last good deed?

Mollydee | 63 comments Holding the door for an elderly person going into Dunkin Donuts and giving money to a little league team for uniforms. My husband and I are a perfect couple we both do good things all of the time.

GeneralTHC I guess it's the traces of leftover Christiany in me, but I believe you undermine your deed if you talk about it, so I can't be specific, haha. But I really care for animals, I'll just leave it at that.

I do that too Chuck. Was always taught not to say what I did that was a good deed. I will tell you guys this though because I don't really consider it a good deed. I do volunteer work with women in a homeless shelter that are recovering from alcohol and drug addictions.

We had huge floods in Croatia and the region, especially Serbia and Bosnia, a lot of people died and have lost their homes and everything...my boyfriend gave some money with all his collegues where he works in a restaurant, I think it's always nice to help people in need...I believe also that doing good things is kind of spreading positive energy and that it comes back, as well as positive thinking...

I read somewhere like when you meet someone you should always smile and if that person smiles to the next one and again so a lot more good mood would be around and postive stuff...

I hate people who are frustrated and when they take it off on people they don't even know properly...that pisses me off really because I always try to be kind to people but being too good to people always hurts eventually the ones who are nice.

Scott There's nothing wrong with an evil streak. Life has to have balance.

On that note, Chuck, I have no lingering vestiges of my Christian upbringing to fall back on here. So, I will say the best, most noble thing I did lately was adopting my dog from a kill shelter a couple months ago. He has brought an enormous amount of happiness to my family, and we also have the satisfaction of knowing we saved his life.

That is so great Adam!

My boyfriend and I, we saved a kitten few years ago, the first veterinarian wanted to euthanaze it everytime we brought it...it couldn't breath and he was literally dieing in front of our eyes (I have bronchitis so I know what it's like not to be able to breathe)...after a week we said goodbye to that ass and found another great vet and double cheaper!!! She said she will do everything but the chances were he was probably gonna die.

But we did it :) we were both working 2 shifts, but every day for a month and a half we took him to the wet for all the injections and stuff (on weekends I had to inject him...not a nice experience, especially when the big needle had it's turn, one time I did it but the other time I couldn't as he was already a bit better so he was struggling a bit and I was afraid I'll make a hole in the poor cat's brain).

Anyway, long story short, he grew up into a most lovely cat, I loved him so much...and one morning he just went and never returned...probably got hit by a car. For 2 years everytime I saw his picture I cried and I said never again will I have a cat.

It's been years now and since September I have 2 lovely cats, brothers, I adore them...and I neutered them - hope this is the right word...you know, the vet did a bit of snap snap down there :( but he said they will be more at home and not wonder around :)
So far so good and since I was so depressed after my dad died they have brought back joy into my life, I just love them so much, they are my family :)

Getting an item off the top shelf in a grocery store for an elderly lady who was too short to reach it. She called me a gentleman. Made my day.

That is kinda funny Aaron. I am really short and routinely ask people at the grocery store to reach stuff for me.
