How far have you gotten Janessa?

I finished it. Sorry I didn't post sooner. I thought it was a wonderful mystery without a lot of sex, foul language or gruesome murders, but enough action and suspense to keep me engage. Although I wished Christie hadn't tacked on the killer's confession at the end of the story. I would have liked the murders to go unsolved that would have been an interesting twist on the story. I also think it would have made more sense to leave it unsolved, because Christie does not include a super sleuth in her cast of characters. You know one that can easily solve the case with his hard hitting logic.

Once I picked it up I couldn't put it down! You are right, all of the extra stuff was absent and rightfully so because it was unnecessary! I had a lot of fun reading it, trying to figure it out who was behind this. I was convinced there was someone else on that island because I couldn't see how it could have been any of the characters. This is a perfect example of a book you could read again like it was brand new! This book has been sitting on my bookshelf for many years and for whatever reason I didn't pick it up, and I am so glad I didn't because I don't believe that I would have had the same experience. I disagree on the confession! It would have drove me mad!! At first I didn't even realize that the last pages were the confession. I assumed it was an afterward by the author. I had to run out of my house before I got a chance to read it. I was convinced I was never going to find out who did it. I had my sister google who did it and I found out of course that the last pages were the confession! I get what you are saying though, leave it up to the reader to decide. Great book!!
