Did Giselle Edmundson, and her cousin, ever rise to the top of your suspect list? Were you surprised to learn that there were multiple culprits involved in the murders?

Never really seriously considered her until it was close to being revealed.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments I didn't consider her either the first time I read this either. I was showing a gender bias, I suppose, in expecting it would be one of the men. Shame on me.

I knew a woman was involved, more likely Marie Thérèse.

Joanna | 139 comments I suspected it might be Giselle when her story was told. However, I thought she had done it for different reasons. I thought maybe it had to deal with her own personal hell. That Pelletan and Foucher's parents had something to do with what had happened to her and it was revenge on behalf of her own family.

We weren't given the information on Giselle's cousin until the reveal so there was no way to foresee the connection.

That said, I also suspected Giselle. Marie Therese was not on my list because she didn't really have a motive and I definitely couldn't see her traipsing around Hangman's Court.
