2017 Reading Challenge discussion

Great book!!! Can't believe it has taken me so long to read it.

It was a fantastic book! I didn't read it until my teenager told me how much she liked it and I wished I had read it sooner!

One of my favorites!

I enjoyed it and rated it four stars but I really don't see the fascination with it. For me, the main story was only around forty or fifty pages long. The rest just seemed random. Harper Lee portrayed Scout excellently though; her childishness, her humour and the way Jem and her told stories that were obviously untrue, was beautiful.

One thing I didn't get; why was the book written in British English if both Harper Lee and the characters were American?
