Our October 2016 BOTM, in another landslide, will be Introduction to the Devout Life, by Francis de Sales.

There were no books eligible for the randomizer this month. That's the second time in a few months that has happened. I think this is the result of an increasing number of votes being cast, which is a good thing. But to try to keep new blood flowing into the list, I'm going to increase the monthly list to 15 books.

The six books that will be added to the list next month are:
- The Perfect Blindside, by Leslea Wahl

- The Upstart, by The Upstart

- Remembering Belloc, by James V. Schall

- Brideshead Revisited, by Evelyn Waugh

- Reasonable Pleasures: The Strange Coherences of Catholicism, by James V. Schall

And a reminder - there is still plenty of time to read and discuss this month's BOTM - Literary Converts: Spiritual Inspiration in an Age of Unbelief, by Joseph Pearce.

So what are your reading plans for October - will you be joining us with St. Francis de Sales in the devour life?

Champions of the Rosary The History and Heroes of a Spiritual Weapon by Donald H. Calloway .

I'm hearing very good things, like it's the best book on the rosary since The Secret of the Rosary.

The one big drawback is that it's not yet available in ebook form.
