Keep It Diverse discussion
Introductions

I read mostly YA fantasy, science fiction, and a bit of contemporary... as well as NA. I also enjoy thrillers/crimes/suspense.
Please don't ask me for my favorite book or character because I have a hundred (and I could name them all) :'D

I read almost every genre and age range. My weakness will always be Fantasy and Sci-Fi though. I prefer my romance as a subplot in other genres unless it's Contemporary QUILTBAG. I'm also a sucker for the darker and creepy reads.
I'm so happy to be apart of this!

I basically love everything YA, though my favorite genre is probably fantasy (there have been a lot of great ones recently). I'm really excited to get to know everyone :)

I LOVE fantasy or anything that's out of this world really but I also enjoy historical fiction and the odd mystery/thriller now and again. I'm really looking forward to reading with this group :D

I am a blogger at The Book Voyagers

I mostly read ya, fantasy, romance, sci-fi, contemporary or really anything that seems interesting to me.
Some of my favorites authors are JK Rowling, Colleen Hoover, Cassandra Clare, Jennifer L Armentrout and Sarah J Maas.
I'm happy for being part of this group and I hope to find more favorite books!

I've been striving to be more diverse in what I've been reading so it's great to join others with the same mindset! I love reading YA (especially fantasy and contemporary), contemporary NA, and some adult (historical fiction and fantasy). I've also been reading a ton of mystery as of late. lol
Can't wait to get started!

My name is Darnell, I run a book blog in which I discuss books, but also movies and TV shows.
For books I read mostly YA, science fiction and fantasy, and I always believe that we should have more diversity, especially in YA

My name is Carly, I'm 19 and a book blogger from Australia and I love reading diverse fiction!!
I particularly read a lot of books with lgbt+ themes or queer lit and I'm looking to broaden and diversify my reading even more. Can't wait to discuss all the bookish things with everyone!
Genre wise majority of my reads are fantasy or contemporary based! But I am not closed off to other genres :)
I'm a huge library reader so I hope my library has all the great books we're going to read.

I'm looking forward to discovering more diverse books since I haven't read much. :) Thanks, T for the invite!

I'm Ezrah and I was born and raised in the Philippines until I was 21 and I moved to Los Angeles, California. I'm also a registered nurse.
I read YA fantasy and sci-fi and NA and some contemporary romance, but my first love will always be historical romance.
To be honest, I haven't read a lot of diverse books but I have read from diverse authors writing non-diverse. I am hoping to discover more diverse reads in this group!

I mostly read SFF and Queer literature and I have a weakness for fluffy romance books. I'm always trying to diversify my reading and discover new things so this group seems perfect!

I love seeing diversity in books so I can't wait to be a part of this ❤️

I primarily read YA fantasy and science fiction. I rarely read contemporaries because I can't stand romance (but they help me out of slumps - sometimes you gotta make sacrifices).
I'm very excited to be apart of this group and read more diversely.
Hey guys!
I'm Verena, 21, from Austria.
I don't really have a favourite genre, it really depends on my mood. But I do read a lot of crime fiction. Recently I've started to read more and more YA fantasy.
When I'm not reading I'm studying to become a teacher for English and geography.
I wish there were more books (and TV shows and movies and video games and ...) featuring characters that are on the asexual spectrum.

Hi! I'm Bhavya and I'm 20. I live in the US but was born in India.
I tend to read whatever catches my attention. And lately that's been mostly ya scifi/fantasy.

Howdy! I'm Guinevere, 31 and live in the US. I'm Afro-Latinx(Afro-Cuban to be specific) and kind of an alternative Black girl. I'm not close minded when it comes to books, or at least not anymore, so I'm open to nearly everything.
I love NA, but started in YA so I'll always have a soft place for it. SFF are my faves(fantasy of all kinds, soft science fiction, horror, etc.) but I do like romance and contemporary that isn't romantic too. Also blog about inclusivity in books, and read mainly inclusive books on Twinja Book Reviews, where I blog with my sis!

I'm Tika, a 27 year old melanin goddess from Washington DC. (I'm black I just like to be dramatic with my intros LOL) I now reside in Maryland, away from all the cool shops and indie bookstores, but that's a discussion fit for another day lol. New Adult is my favorite genre, but I am still a huge fan of both YA and Adult, as well as some middle grade. I don't know about you guys, but I am beyond ready to dive into some diverse reads and to share our opinions with the rest of our community!
Greetings all! My name is Libertad, i'm 31 and I live in the USA, specifically the East Coast/New England region. I'm Afro-latinx, Afro-Cubana to be precise and I love YA, NA and Adult contemporary but my first true love is YA.
Let's not forget my love for Speculative Fiction! I live for YA and adult fantasies(any kind I don't care XD) with tons of action mixed with a little love mixed in! Oh yea and I blog at Twinja Book Reviews(YA) and Rebellious Cupid Book Reviews for NA with my twin sister! *waves grandly*

I like to read a little bit of everything but I have a soft spot for retellings, contemporaries, and fantasy books. Also Jane Austen is the great love of my life <3

I've written some fantasy Coal and an urban fantasy: Black Beauty

But anyway, I love reading basically anything YA (& some NA & MG). I've only ever seen myself in one book which is why I'm pumped to be a part of this group. <3

I'm interested in this group because, admittedly, most of what I read is written by white males, so I'm looking for some good recommendations to help keep expanding my world-view through books. I also did a year's focus on post-Colonial lit when I was in school, so I can probably recommend some good ones as well once I see what direction the group is headed.

I already introduced myself (Kristen), but I joined Keep It Diverse because we have similar missions. It's nice to meet you guys and feel free to send us a friend request!

I read mostly YA... My favourite genres are Fantasy, Sci Fi, Contemporary & Dystopian. I like to read Adult books sometimes as well.
I have a bookstagram which is: @bookmarvel
And I also have Twitter which is: @book_marvel
Im excited to read some diverse books and make new friends :)

I look forward to knowing y'all!

I love reading YA fantasy, contemporary, romance, sci-fi, and mystery! Some of my favorite books are the Throne of Glass series, the A Court of Thorns and Roses series, The Wrath and The Dawn, the Harry Potter series, Me Before You, The Great Gatsby, and Anna and the French Kiss.
Coming from two different heritages (Iran/Philippines), I think it's very important and influential to read about books with diversity. It opens up your horizons to different people and countries and changes the literary world in a positive way! Can't wait to meet new people on here and see where this goes!

I read about everything - from fantasy books to contemporary, to dystopian. I'm really excited to be here!! I've been lacking on my reading lately because of school, so I'm really excited for any recommendations!
I'm also on instagram with a fandom acc: @MyLifeAsFangirl (I also have a personal but I'm most active on my fandom!)

I'm Matilde, and I like books!
My nationalities are to many to count, but I'm 14 and love book recommendations (hint hint)

My name is Jia, I'm 21 years old and from Spain. I mostly read YA, especially fantasy, but I think it's safe to say that I enjoy any good book no matter its genre (I truly love historical fiction, retellings, sci-fi, etc.).
There's nothing that shines more than diversity and good representation in the middle of the vast ocean of books with flawless cishet white able-bodied characters that everybody writes and reads. I'm so excited to join this group and start reading more diverse books and discuss them with others!

My name is Aimal. I'm 20, and I live in New York City, but was born and raised in Pakistan until the age of 17. I read a vast variety of genres, but my reading taste mostly revolves around YA fantasy. I love me a dark thriller, and anti-heroes are my weakness!
