YA Backlist Bookclub discussion

Welcome to the discussion for our standalone book of October. I read this one last year, and I loved it so much! The tears I shed were unexpected as I often don't cry at books people say are "sad", but this was an excellent read.

I enjoyed this. It was a ‘nice’ little tale, even though it was dealing with depressing material. The way it dealt with this material was great though as we got to see a child come to terms with the fact that his mum is dying. It was really well written and of course, I cried.
