Books I Want To Talk About discussion

Guess what?! My husband actually READ a chapter of The Well of Lost Plots! The man doesn't read (you RGBC ladies may know this already)but he did watch Wuthering Heights with me, so I thought he'd appreciate the anger management session. This part of the book made me laugh so loud and so hysterically that my kids looked at me like I was nuts! And Jef actually enjoyed it too, so who knows maybe now he'll be tempted to start at the beginning of the series.

I love that part!

I think guys would like these books. I don't think you have to get all the literary references to enjoy it, either.

I have to thank you guys. I had never heard of this series- and just finished the Eyre Affair which was a fun read- just the type of escapist book I like. I've got this one on order at the library now.

However, I don't think it would be as entertaining if I didn't understand the literary references.
