Universes Unite [Rebooted!] discussion

A bakery run by a little girl. She has help of course, but she has been the sole owner since her parents died. The building is two stories and the little girl lives in a room upstairs.

Bolt and Blaze dragged momo from the beach to the bakery, excited for cake. Probably more so than the person who was supposed to be getting the cake.

Momo giggled at their enthusiasm, it reminded her more of her friends back home. "Is this the bakery? It smells so good in here! Like bread!" She grinned. "Are cakes like bread? Because I've had bread before,"

((Honestly all of my characters should meet Phillip at least once))

"Um.... Cakes are sorta like bread....." Blaze started.
"But really way better!" Bolt finished.
They led her up to the counter where a ten year old girl with spunky red hair was standing with a big smile on her face.

"Oh, okay!" She tried to imagine that, then smiled at the little girl. "Hello! I've never had a cake before, can you make a really good chocolate one for me?"

((Well my sisters have met him already but I still have my French baker Camille who hates nobility and royalty my female guard and my submissive male servant

And Phillip will hate every single one of them))

The little girl smiled happily. "I make tons of yummy chocolate cakes," she answered. "Do you have a preference as to what kind of chocolate? And is it for a special occasion?"

"There's different kinds of chocolate?" Momo asked in disbelief. "Uhhh....the best kind? And the occasion is...I've never had cake before and these two wanted me to try some,"

The girl looked at both twins, waiting for an answer. But when both just smiled at her, she shrugged. "I'll get you one out of the case then," she said, stepping to the side to find the chocolate cake she'd baked that morning.

Momo awaited her to do this, and the cake she picked had dark chocolate frosting with pink roses as decoration. She grinned. "It's perfect! It almost looks too good to eat! How much is it?"

"Ten Credits," The girl answered as she set the cake on the counter. "For the whole thing, that is. Two per slice, if you'd prefer it that way."
"We'll take the whole thing," Bolt said as Blaze pulled out the money and paid for the cake.
The girl smiled. "Would you like it in a box or are you going to eat it here?"

"I guess we can eat it here," Momo said, picking up the cake platter and slowly walking with it to a nearby table. "So, who should cut this?"

Both twins smirked. They both wanted to, but if either did, they would tear the cake apart by accident.

After a few more minutes of silence, Momo sighed and picked up the knife. "Looks like it'll be me," She slowly started to cut a piece off the corner. "Like this?"

"No no, cut it like a pizza," Bolt said.
"Or a pie," Blaze said.
Then, they both smiled and looked at each other. "Or a pizza pie!" they declared together before falling into laughter.

"Pizza? I don't think I've had that either," She shrugged and continued to cut the cake, soon cutting out three jagged pieces for them. "Alright, let's eat this!" She grinned.

"Where have you been living?" Bolt asked, shocked that she'd never had pizza.
"Is all you're allowed to eat peaches?" Blaze asked, equally shocked. "No wonder you think they're good!"

She snickered. "No, I eat lots of things! Rice and udon and miso and noodles and seaweed and red bean paste rice balls and also wasabi! Wasabi on everything!" She explained. "But lots of peaches too, yes. I live in the Soul Society!"

"What's a soul society?" Blaze asked curiously.
"Who cares! They don't give you cake, they must be mean," Bolt declared.

"The place Souls go where they die. And some of them become Soul Reapers, like me!" She smiled and took a small bite of cake, her eyes widening. "This tastes so good! Mmmmm!"

((My mom gave me some margarita as a Christmas treat whoohoo! The drink is salty but I'm so bubbly!))

"Souls die?" The twins asked, shocked. When she tasted the cake, they both smiled widely and dug into their own pieces.

"Oh! I meant humans! When humans die, they go there and become Soul Reapers. I'm dead," Momo blushed and continued to eat. "Even the roses are edible, they're made from icing!"

((Good if you like salty things. It also tastes like lime, so a salty lime))

"Everything on a cake is edible," Bolt informed her.
"It's all about tasting good though. It doesn't always taste good," Blaze said.

"Well surely people would want to put a decoration onto it, like made out of paper or something?" Momo wondered.

((It made me all crazy and giggly though))

"No way!" Blaze said, shocked at the notion.
"If peeps are good, they can make it out of pure sugar," Bolt said.

"Hmmmm..." Momo immediately started to imagine what sort of cake she could convince her captain to make. He spent several years on Earth, so surely he had more experience than her in those sorts of things. "A musical note cake," She said out loud.

((My mom didn't think it was very funny))

"Possible," Bolt said, thinking she was asking if people could make such things. Both of them really just flowed with anything because their family could be so chaotic.
"I think I've actually seen one before," Blaze added.

She smiled. "So it IS possible! And if it's not, I'll make it possible!" She continued to eat her pizza.

"That's the attitude!" Blaze declared and shoveled some more cake in his mouth.
"This really is good cake," Bolt said with his mouth full.

((WTF pizza I meant to say cake guess that margarita affected my brain more than I thought))

She continued to eat in silence, her manners more polite and dainty than the twins', like a noblewoman. She also took a second slice of cake when she finished her first.

"Next we've got to teach you to cut the cake," Bolt told her after swallowing. It was Blaze's turn to completely stuff his mouth this time.

"I think I cut it just fine! It's just a little crooked!" She insisted, pointing to the jagged areas.

Both twins shook their heads. "You really didn't do it right," they both said.
"You're not supposed to cut it like you did," Blaze said.
"You cut it like....pie," Bolt said.

"Pie? Hmmm....pies are cut in a more circular pattern, but alright," She stood up and carefully cut a circular piece out of the cake and showed it to the twins. "Like this? How's this? Is it better?"

They both looked at her strangely. "How the heck do you eat pie?" Blaze asked.
"Seriously, who taught you that?" Bolt asked.
Both shook their heads and then Blaze took the knife and took out a proper slice.

Momo blushed and sighed. "I guess I have a lot more to learn about this world than I thought, hm?"

"Oh yeah," Bolt agreed.
"But it's alright, we can totally teach you," Blaze nodded, returning to his piece of cake.

She nodded and continued to eat. "Well I'm glad I have you two as my friends then!"

The twins smiled brightly, their mouths filled with chocolate cake. They knew that of course, and started to laugh.

She stuck her tongue out in disgust at their chocolate-cake-filled mouths. "Blech....maybe I could teach you two about proper manners in the meantime,"

The twins laughed more, only stopping long enough to swallow the cake so that they wouldn't spew. Proper manners, yeah right. Many have tried, all have failed.

"Most Soul Reapers I know have better manners than you," She grumbled, continuing to eat. "My captain has better manners and he lived in the Roaring Twenties!"

Both twins shrugged, not caring. They didn't see how what they were doing could be so awful.

Momo finished eating her second slice of cake and stared at what remained. "I'm full....is there anyway I can take this with me?"

"The girl said we could have a box," Blaze shrugged.
"You could ask for one, I'm sure she'll give you one," Bolt said,

"Alright! Then I'll go ask!" She happily ran back up to the counter. "Can I have a box for the leftover cake?" She asked nicely.

The girl smiled at her. "Surely ma'am," she said, rather chipper. She pulled out a cake box from under the counter and folded it so that it was usable.

She thanked her and ran back over to their table, carefully placing the cake inside. "Careful, careful...I don't want to drop it!"

((One of the twins scares her and she drops it))

Both twins smirked. That sounded like a challenge. They couldn't quite yet do it....she would be prepared at the moment.

Momo had almost gotten the entire cake into the box, but if something or someone suddenly broke her concentration, she'd drop the cake on the floor.

Suddenly Bolt shouted. "Ack a mouse!" he screamed loudly, from right beside Momo.
