I love this book! I recently read P&P&Zombies so it'll be fun to read P&P again and discuss it.

I love this book. Austen has a way of writing the flows beautiful and makes the characters not only stand up on the page, but walk and talk and live in full colour! I can't wait to re-read this!!!

I've recently read this one as my first Austen and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm currently watching the BBC version of it with Colin Firth and liking it a lot as well.

I just finished this book. It was also my first Austen. My only disappointment was there was no chapter describing the weddings of Jane and Elizabeth. That I would have enjoyed. It was hard to tell at the shift from engagement and marriage for the two sisters. But hey, who doesn't like a happy ending!!!

I lovvvve Colin Firth in that movie. hahaha <3

I finally finished.... I read P&P&Z as I have, once before, attemped P&P with little care to repeat that adventure...

What can I say- I just don't think I am a Jane Austen kinda Kid. The concept and the Zombies was cool and kept me reading but I still didn't walk away from the book feeling as "in-awe" with Jane Austen as I wanted. I suppose I was looking for my moment of clarity where I realized all the wonderful things people have to say about her as an author but it didn't come.

I am glad I gave this novel a chance, and gave Jane Austen another chance but it wasn't for me!

I feel the same way about her Shelley. The one book that I actually did like of hers was Northanger Abbey which nobody else really likes, go figure. I do like PP& Zombies though I feel like it needed the zombie element to keep me from falling asleep.

Emily- Maybe I will try reading Northanger Abbey. Like I said- I "want" to like her I just can't seem to...

I had read Jane Austin many years ago and could not get into her work. Then a few years ago, I tried to give it another try; now I love her books. I have read all of them. A few years ago, I went on a literary tour of England and saw many of the locations referred to in Jane Austin's books. Perhaps that is what made them come alive! I think she has a lot to say, in a satirical fashion, about the society of the time.

I love her satire and her humor.

I love this book; I've read it 3 times and every time I get something new out of it. The conversations between Darcy and Elizabeth are amazing.

A Classic for a reason. :) This is a wonderful read.
