E.W. Harrington | 5 comments Hello dear Mythic Scribes members. I look forward to interacting with like-minded authors of Sci-Fi/Fantasy. R. O. has been a year-long labor of love. My lovely wife allowed me to take three weeks off last summer and, instead of the beach, I was able to make it a serious project. (I lied at work, telling them I was visiting my brother in New Mexico - I'm betting you writers will understand). D&D themes weaved into the narrative I learned about from an IT fellow at work; 'Gygax' is a hidden sub-routine the artificial intelligence narrator discovers within himself. I do hope you enjoy R. O., I wrote it for the pleasure of imagination in mind.

E.W. Harrington | 5 comments Hello Antonio,

Thank you for the positive comment. It was appreciated! I'm interested in your book, The Mythic Guide to Characters. Considerations of myth seems like a really wonderful approach to character development. My first instinct when I read your title was "Cool."

Thanks E.W.! I've always been interested in the inner workings of the mind, and how myths and other archetypes speak to it directly. In my opinion, that's what gives fantasy writing so much of its power.

E.W. Harrington | 5 comments True Antonio. I'm about half-way through your book and admire the clarity you bring to the subject of personality types and more shadowy subconscious forces that can bring life to character. So the Archetype is like a lingering vibration of countlessly repeated experiences in the collective unconscious. That's very interesting. You're giving me valuable paths to follow (being an Oberserver, Explorer type myself).
