I didn't do it! We Should All Be Feminists is less than 100 pages but it was the only pattern book I could find on my shelves. Of course, now that I said that I will find all kinds of books with patterns on them.

I'd probably have to choose Dorothy Hamill, since that was probably the first Olympics I really watched and really enjoyed. I liked her a lot, and loved her hair. That style went viral!

I was not actually on stage, but backstage with Marvin Hamlisch, one of my very favorite piano players/entertainers. My husband and I were at a concert, and my husband wrote a note to Mr. Hamlisch and gave it to an usher to ask if I would be allowed backstage at the Meet & Greet since I was such a big fan -- and they let me!! So I got my picture with him and everything! What a special memory and sweet gift from my husband :)

- I like to watch figure skating also but don't know any names. I do have a "skater" though...Terri Lynch from the fabulous Thunderbirds (roller derby!) I used to watch them on TV and go see them at the Cleveland Coliseum when they were in town. I think I have some of the team's autographs on a program somewhere. :)

- Haven't really ever been in the spotlight...I rather like to lay low in stealth mode. But I did get to meet Fess Parker when I worked at a wine distributer and Shannon Lee at a Christmas party.

Oh, gosh .. that was 40 years ago .... And I sang every year when I was in college and the first year out of college as well.

I know one song was "I Don't Know How to Love Him" from Jesus Christ, Superstar. And another year I sang "My Funny Valentine" and "Rubber Ducky" (done as a torch song).

Love Marvin Hamlisch. My husband and I went to a concert he gave, as a benefit, in another city. Hubby's boss had purchased a corporate table for the dinner, and we had seats in about row 5, center aisle for the performance. At one point he asked the audience for suggestions for a song title, and said he would write a song on the spot. I yelled out "Angels on the Ceiling" and he took that suggestion and ran (or played & sang) with it. He was the POPs conducter / musical director for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra when he passed away.

Oh, how wonderful!! I was always amazed at how he could take any topic and write a song right then & there. And it sounds like your experience confirms that! Sounds like you had a wonderful time! I really miss him :'(

Very exciting, what a wonderful experience. It's so fun to see or talk to someone you admire!!! And to have him "write" a song from your suggestion...pretty cool!!!
