Since none of us know each other really well, (obviously), some people (like Joana) mentioned an "Introduction" thread, so...here goes.

Please DO NOT post very personal info/insults

Joana | 29 comments Hello! My name is Joana I'm from the United States ( CA), I'm kinda old lol I'm almost 20 and I love reading young adult books and I am always open to new book suggestions! I'm very excited to be part of this group!

Wow. I am discussing with an-almost-twenty year old online. Kinda hard to wrap my head around.

Anyway...

Hello! I'm Ramya and I was born in the US (CA) but I've been living in Austin, TX for a few years now. I am twelve and am a seventh grader.

I LOVE middle grade books (Keeper of the Lost Cities/The School For Good and Evil/The Books of Beginning/Fablehaven, etc) but really like (sometimes even love) some YA books (aka The School For Good and Evil/Twilight/Red Queen/Legend, etc)

I love Goodreads and reading, singing/dancing, sports, and life!
(Yeah, I'm an optimist)

And yes, KEEPER is my absolute favorite series of all time, and

Sophitz is my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

message 4: by jpnmusings (new)

jpnmusings Wow... 20!!!!

Hello! I'm Joel ( my real name ) and I was born in Oregon and still live in Oregon. I'm also 12 and a 7th grader. I'm homeschooled as well.....

I love to sing/dance/act and have participated in many musicals including, but not limited to, Tarzan, les miserables, and your a good man Charlie Brown. I live on a farm and have 8 horses, 22 chickens,3 pigs, 4 dogs, 2 cats, and we used to have 2 sheep.

I love to read, but never would have even heard of goodreads if it weren't for keeper of the lost cities, which is obviously my favorite series ever!!! I also like Peter and the starcatchers, Percy Jackson, the Shakespeare stealer trilogy, Michael vey, the land of stories, the unwanteds, the mysterious benidect society, and Gregor the overlander.

I like Charlie Brown (peanuts), stuffed animals, emojis, and FUDGE!!!!

Joana | 29 comments Yup! I started reading young and I never got tired of it... I hope you will all still enjoy reading when you're my age!

*Amelia* (StormyMage) | 160 comments I could never stop reading...
One day, I left my book in my locker for TWO periods, and by the end of the day I had gone completely insane.

ANYWAYS. My name is Amelia, I live in Utah, which is amazing, because we don't have roaches there. (Well, we do, but there WAAAY rarer, so I haven't seen them)

I love reading. Way to much. I finish a book about every 1-3 days, and I once had a teacher threaten to duct-tape my book to the ceiling. 0_0 My favorite book series' are Keeper of the lost cities, The Lunar Chronicles, Wings of Fire, and Half Upon a Time.
I'm also a writer, and I'm currently participating in NanoWriMo.
I also love drawing/painting/art in general, and have drawn about twenty pictures of Tam over the last week because I STILL CAN'T GET IT RIGHT and it's driving me crazy.
Oh, and I'm a huge theater nerd too, Joel. YAY, DRAMA!

Oh, and I'm 14. Eight grade.

malayna (malaynachang) | 205 comments Hi I am Malayna. Not allowed to share my age or grade, but I am in school still and it isn't college. I love reading and BLOGGING. I want to be a writer when I grow up and I have a 60,000 word novel on the makings and I hope to finish within next year. Maybe get it published even, but I know it won't be this year or even next year.

I play the clarinet and the piano. I speak English, can decipher Latin, and am learning French. I hate running and you won't believe my mile times!

I just want to take this opportunity to say thanks to everyone here who viewed my blog, iRead. I got 284 views today, and that is more than I ever could have expected. I am going to post later on, in about an hour or so, so I hope to see you there!!! Thanks and please comment.

www.iread2016.blogspot.com

Please follow.

I love Goodreads btw because I am not allowed to have other types of social media. I am an insane reader and without books, I would probably be dead.

I have four cats, a dog, and a tortoise. I used to have another cat and a dog, but they passed away :( I also had a snake, and she was an amazing pet! Lastly, I also had two fish and a gecko, but they passed away too a while ago.

My fav word is AMAZING. It is just so amazing :)

Thanks!

PS I might have spelling mistakes :( that my phones didn't auto correct.

Glad to meet you all

*waves an imaginary hand to all of you*

I used to HATE reading (like, when I first started-the ages five and six) but I started to LOVE reading when I was 7!!!!!!!

I will always love reading!!!!!!!

message 11: by *Amelia* (new)

*Amelia* (StormyMage) | 160 comments So, I actually learned how to read because of a sibling rivalry with my cousin... I fell in love with it as soon as I got past the easy readers.
Fighting my cousin was an impossible battle though. I was on a twelfth grade level in third grade and she was STILL ahead of me. *grumbles*

My running times are also terrible. It usually goes like this:
*Runs first 3 quarters in ten minutes*
*Ankle dies*
*Finishes in fifteen minutes*
And that's when I'm TRYING.

And since we're all naming pets...

I had a pet fish.
It died.
Then I had another one.
It lived for like, 50% longer than that species of fish generally lives in captivity, and then it also died.

Right now, I have a digital Nyan Cat animation. It won't die.

Oh...wow.

Looks like I have a lot in common with you guys!

Anyway, I forgot to mention this, but I LOVE acting-my parents call me a Drama Queen, though it seems to be an inherited trait.

I had two sibling parakeets for about 3 months (when I was seven, I think), but then they flew away (long and VERY complicated story) so...yeah.

BY THE WAY, IT IS AMAZING THAT SOME OF YOU HAVE SO MANY PETS!!!!!!!

Working on getting baby chickens now! (Baby chicken project has been in progress for almost three years!!!! Ugh. I wish I had a pet.)

*sighs*

On top of that, I'm an only child.

*sighs again*

Sometimes, it is WAY to easy to understand Keefe-though I understand Fitz better.

There I go, sharing my life story with almost-strangers.

*sighs at quoting Raxtus from Fablehaven*

*sighs again for no reason*

*sighs*

What is happening to me?

message 13: by malayna (last edited Nov 10, 2016 08:32AM) (new)

malayna (malaynachang) | 205 comments LOL I like your post.

Also, I did forget to mention: I have been in several plays and musicals in my lifetime, and I just finished performing last week (Yes, I did have the most lines, and yes, I was considered the lead *smiles*). I am planning to start another musical this month and I cannot wait!

Also, my mile times SUCK. I get like 11 minute mile times on average, and that is barely passing at my school. :) But I am pretty much OK with it as long as I get good grades.

Oh yeah, not to brag, but I am a straight-a student. Always. I literally have a meltdown if there is a A- on my grade. I am a perfectionist.

Same. My lowest grade in the last grading period was a 100.

Even as an only child...

Well, I have four cousins (direct cousins), they are ALL boys, two live in a different country, two are younger, two are older.

I am plopped right in the middle-AND I'M THE ONLY GIRL!!!!!!!

Of course, it doesn't make much of a difference anyway-love my cousins-the ones in India are sweet, and the ones in Illinois are, well, they call me annoying AND are smart aleks (just like me)-still love them, though!

Man. I wish I could find a rhyming word to help people pronounce my name.

The best I can do is...

(don't laugh-you probably will, but it's fine if you do)

Roman Noodles.

Yes. People remember my name because of Roman Noodles.

Yay! I've been pronouncing your name right!

message 25: by *Amelia* (new)

*Amelia* (StormyMage) | 160 comments I have a weird last name that is super easy to pronounce but has a strange spelling. I finally found a super easy way to explain it, but it's kinda... gruesome.
So I'm like, my last name is such and such. Like this incredibly violent word.
And then I just smile.

And HAH.

I have about fifteen younger cousins, and most of them are little girls in lower elemementary/preschool.
(We watched Frozen SO MANY times at our family reunion...)
But I have one that's my age and has similar likes/dislikes to me, so I'm fine. Except for the one fact that her library is lame and she hasn't read Keeper...

I't sounds like your an excellent actress Malayna... I didn't even have any lines in our last school play.
Then againk, our cast had about two hundred kids in it so... yeah.

Wow. I'm not in school theater (I chose Choir over Theater), but I was in a few big musicals (I wasn't able to get REALLY big parts, though, since you had to be, like, twice my age to do that, but I played a LOT of roles [at least a lot for my seven year old self-about four characters]), and in DI (you probably won't know what that is, but don't worry about it) my friends said I was a really good actor. And since a LOT of people call me Drama Queen, I can assume I'm a good actor.

message 27: by *Amelia* (new)

*Amelia* (StormyMage) | 160 comments I'm super involved with school theater. Out of my four electives, three of them are with my drama teacher. And I'm on our drama club council. And I go on all the field trips... I like it way to much.

message 28: by jpnmusings (new)

jpnmusings I don't do school theatre..... In fact I'm homeschooled..... I participate in county and state musicals, have soloed with the central Oregon Mastersingers, and have done two musicals with Oregon Opera association. Leads in everything... *shy smile*

Nope. I definetely DO NOT want to be homeschooled (my parents have the smarts-they just don't have the "teaching thing" down)

:)

message 38: by *Ramya* (new)

I used the stickers (portraits, really) of the characters, stuck them to the first blank page, wrote their names, wrote all sorts of stuff on the blank pages, like, I can't wait! and Sophitz!!!!!

message 39: by *Amelia* (new)

*Amelia* (StormyMage) | 160 comments Okay... so this is one of my one-in-the-morning theories, which means it's kind of ridiculous adnd nobody should listen to it.

BUT

What if the stickers say how the ships are going to end up?

Because they go like this

Fitz Sophie Keefe Biana
Wylie Dex Lihn Tam

So that could mean Sophitz, Keiana, Dexlihn, or Sodex, Keeflihn, Tambiana.

Personally, I think the second one is more likely, since I seriously doubt the possibility of Keiana at this point. But, all of this is probably meaningless anyway so it doesn't matter.

message 40: by *Ramya* (last edited Nov 16, 2016 07:22PM) (new)

*Ramya* | 595 comments Mod
Well, I think the stickers show the possibilities (names that touch are possibilities):

1) Fitz and Sophie,

OR

Keefe and Sophie,

OR

Dex and Sophie

2) Keefe and Linh

OR

Dex and Linh

3) Tam and Biana

OR

Keefe and Biana

****Notice how Fitz's portrait only touches one girl's portrait?****

Sophie's Portrait :)
