How many books did you buy this month and where did you get them?

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. Good to have company!

2 from borders
2 from barnes and nobles

Karen I am right there with you on collecting series. i have all the SK dark-hunters except bad moon rising that i will buy on tues ( already got one bought book for Aug) and the 3 of the anthologies.

I forgot to mention that I also bought the 4 books in the Sign of the Zodiac series by Vicki Pettersson, I picked the first 3 up for half price, couldn't pass that by, lol.

Back this winter I bought all the Anita Blake books before I started reading. Thankfully I really love that series. I did that with Kenyon's Dark Hunter/Dream Hunter series too.
Karen, where'd you get that great deal? I've read the first three in the Sign of the Zodiac series so far series and was able to get #1 used, but I'd like to get the others as well.

"
Yes, so far I like the series. It hasn't pulled me in as much as some series but it's still enjoyable.

I picked them up on sale tables outside of a local newsagents.
Karen, oh, I don't know, some of us book buying addicts will go long distances for a good book buying deal. lol.

Not a bad idea, Kenjii. I've now done just that.

My friend, her 3 friends, my mother in law ( she seldom buys because I share) and my 16 year old daughter. Sometimes it get hard to remember what is your own unless you make sure to put your name in it. My friend has been know to buy 2-3 copies of the same book. (Yes, I have don it a few times. But I keep a list now.)

The books yall are buying are good ones =D. I have gotten 1 book bought for me from a friend and 2 sent to me in a swap. So I really am getting my book buying fix w/o having to buy! LOL!

I'm really anxious to know what you think. I've wanted to discuss this book with someone for ages.

I'll let you know when I start the first one.

I'm looking on my shelves to figure out how many/which books I bought since the beginning of July. I actually have my library catalogued on my computer (thanks to my hubby), but I can only list/search books by title or author. I asked him if there was a way I could search by the date that they were added into the database, so if he can do it, I will be able to refer to that in the future!

Linda, there should be a way you can start keeping track of when a book was entered. Being a librarian, I've written my own catalog database for my personal library and entering the date of the book being entered is one of the fields I have.

This is what I bought " Little Bitty Lies" @ "Hissy Fit" Mary Kay Andrews, "Standing in the Rainbow" @ "Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man" by Fannie Flag, "Commitments" @" Woman Next Door" by Barbara Delinsky, "Abindance of Katherines" by John Green, "Glass Books of the Dream Eaters" by Gordon Dahlquist

Have you thought about using Librarything for the books you own. You might even be able to import all of that into LT. I use LT for books I own and goodreads for books I've read. You can organize books all kinds of ways on LT (and get random statistics about your library, which I've always found interesting)
Now this isn't a competition guys, we aren't supposed to be bragging, but in any case, so far this month I've bought 16 books, 14 bought used from the library and 2 new from Borders. :-)

please tell me someone is has bought more than me by now :D

I'm only going to allow myself to purchase one or two more books for the rest of the month and that is only because I have a 20% off coupon to the used bookstore that expires then. Wish me luck that I can stick to my resolution.

good luck looloo! Hopefully don't catch up but I probably will with all the new books coming out :(
