A.K. Alliss (akalliss) | 20 comments I usually try to stick with 3 books at once, I read them on rotation, so one day will be book 1, day two for book 2 and day three for book 3 then backto book 1. I find that it keeps me fresh and not stuck as to what I read. I used to get a bit overwhelmed once I got a Kindle because there was just too much content and easily accessible, but the reading rotation seems to have fixed that.

One of my friends said that he used a random picker to decide due to the number of books he has. I prioritize my books every time based on the free time I have, the book I think I'll enjoy, and also by reading reviews written by my favourite reviewers.

Kristi Lewis (kristilynn001) | 40 comments Yes I do. I have quite a few I need to read. Sometimes I'll choose a shorter book that I can read more quickly. However, right now I'm reading the The Molly Murphy Mystery Series by Rhys Bowen. I probably will finish all of the books in the series before I read any others.

martin eden | 405 comments Not really... I usually buy 5 books at a time and then read them. So the most important part is when I go to the bookstore: I have a list of books and try to stick to it. When a book is not available, I order it and pick another one on my list. Sometimes, I have no list (have forgotten it or just do not want to use it) and I just pick books according to their cover or after reading the blurb.

Sophie (sophiesworld) Sometimes. I am a member of an audiobook company who either send me one randomly or I can request one from a selection.
Kindle app lets me know if there are offers on, so I might find a book that way.
I have a selection I haven't read or have started but not finished so I might choose from that, depending on what I feel like at the time.
I look at reviews on here of books I've either found on here or elsewhere which help me decide what next. It might depend on my mood or what else is going on in my life (how much I feel I can concentrate, if I feel like something more light-hearted or escapism or if I want to learn something, what events are going on in my life which might affect these things).

D20 | 162 comments I'm pretty random. I'll just start reading one and if it doesn't grip me, I'll try another.

Marisa Parker So true that's me too. Although if I have heard good reviews or if there are certain sentences that evoke tangible images, I give it at least a few chapters before I give up! Sometimes the scene does have to be set over about 40 to 50 pages to understand the characters before the story unfolds ...
