Would've liked the opportunity to comment at the end, now I can't remember what I wanted to say :(

message 3: by Karen-Leigh (new)

Karen-Leigh | 28 comments I filled in survey and found there was no spot for wish list or recommendation. Under the list of Read, To Read, Currently Reading. I would like a To Buy choice. I am putting those books I plan to buy under To Be Read but it is not strictly accurate. To me...To Be Read is a book I have bought or own and have not yet read. You gave a choice of Books not to be Finished...I always finish my books no matter what.

Sharon Phelps | 15 comments On the matter of charging for use of the site, I would simply have to stop using the site. I am in a nursing home which means I have$60.00 a month to spend for everything I need. So adding the cost of your site is impossible. I realize that no good thing is free forever and that it is a miracle that your team has kept the site running this long just on donations. So, I would go with the sponsored or advertising options if possible because there must be others out there like me.

Shirley Bennett (1shirlb) | 45 comments I agree with Sharon- paying for the site - wonderful that it is- would result in either budget cuts elsewhere or not using this site.

message 6: by Karen-Leigh (new)

Karen-Leigh | 28 comments Old age pension doesn't stretch to entertainment, other than the books that I buy, when hydro costs rise. So advertisements are the order of my day.

message 7: by Sandra (new)

Sandra | 34 comments I went the other way but can totally understand your points of view Ladies. I'd be willing to go advertisements if it kept more people on the site.

message 8: by Debra (new)

Debra | 1 comments FictFact has become essential to me. I would pay for use of the site. I hate ads but hopefully these wouldn't be too intrusive. It does seem like ads would be better for some of us and I respect that.

Deborah | 17 comments I didn't appreciate having to answer 1-10 for number of books purchased a month. I seldom buy books. I mostly use the library.

Well FictFact make's a majority of it's current income when folks buy books, so we were interested in how those numbers broke down.

Sharon Phelps | 15 comments To me it was a legit question. Some people buy new, or used or eBooks or lend or read free on Kindle Unlimited. We have so many reading options now that I didn't think the question obtrusive at all.

I just wanted to leave it unanswered, but an entry was required and non of the supplied responses were correct for me.

Karen-Leigh | 28 comments I answered a questionnaire yesterday and the question had four possible answers...none of which applied alone...it needed a fifth saying all of the above. That happens all the time that you need a final option of N/A or other on a questionnaire that won't let you leave anything blank.

message 14: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Phelps | 15 comments Very good point. I get a lot of my books free. There are many ways of getting the first book of a a series free and sometimes even the second. And I read for several authors on their advanced reader team for writing a review when the book is released. You just write an honest review. So I chose the closest possible answer.

message 15: by Erin (new)

Erin (earendilgrey) | 1 comments I would rather have ads (as long as they weren't obtrusive) than pay really.

message 16: by Denise (new)

Denise | 1 comments I'm confused - why is this now have a different name - I know FictFact closed but did something else open?

message 17: by Shirley (new)

Shirley Bennett (1shirlb) | 45 comments I’m also confused- is FictFact coming back????

message 18: by Brian (new)

Brian Kirsten | 41 comments Mod
FictFact is not coming back. We are working on a new project with some elements of FictFact.

message 19: by Shirley (new)

Shirley Bennett (1shirlb) | 45 comments Strange then- I got the message that was sent out a long time ago as a ‘new message’ .... new project sounds good
