I'm actually in the middle of a few series. I just finished Theft of Swords by Michael J. Sullivan. I'm working my way through the SF Dorsai series and am on Other by Gordon R. Dickson and the Fantasy Recluse series and am on Colors of Chaos by L.E. Modesitt Jr.. I also read Larry Niven's Inferno and am set to read the sequel, Escape from Hell.

Not much fantasy really, although I have just finished the month read Bridge of birds and found it nice enough!
Ronald, the first law trilogy is amazing, hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

Yes I find it highly enjoyable - Love the Dune stuff too. I recently got the first book on Kindle so I can re-read them. I originally read them all in paperback

Riyria revelations is a very entertaining series. I read it last year, followed by Riyria Chronicles, and loved every bit of it.

All great books I especially love Glen Cooks stuff

and now I'm reading Impyrium which so far is very entertaining https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

I've enjoyed both plus a short. I've got the final part but a friend hated it so I'm reluctant to start.
I'm reading Witch Hunter

How did you get the Which Hunter to tag like that instead of like mine did?

:)

I'm also supposed to be reading A Dance with Dragons and Тютюн (Tobacco) by Bulgarian author Dimitar Dimov. It's about a tobacco factory just before and during WWII, I suppose it ends with the end of WWII and the beginning of the socialist regime in Bulgaria. I love both of these books, but I'm behind on my goodreads challenge, so I have to choose my books wisely.
I'll also be starting Six of Crows in a few days, as a group read.
PS. Every time I start naming the books I've started reading I think "why do I do this to myself?!"

:)"
Ah okay I see, need to look and see if this group has ever read the series this book starts The Dragonbone Chair

:)"
Ah oka..."
The sister group definitely has.
Six of Crows is so good as is the sequel.

I read this series by Kearney some years ago. Interested in your reactions as you progress through it.

I am currently reading Rise of Empire, book 2 of the Riyria Revelations by Michael J. Sullivan. I am in the midst of several series at once, which I usually try to avoid, but they area all good and very different from each other, so I will switching among them for a few more months, I think.

I'm always meaning to reread these.
Kathi, I always enjoy Sullivan's books.

In the sister group, we have various challenges set up and one is to read the previous group reads. Elantris is one.

Is that the one for standalones? I had that bookmarked along with this group and then when I went to join it was secret. Is it still and if so, will it ever open again?

The Group went through a series of spamming and inflated voting, so it now closes during nominations and votes.
I'll change the setting so you can join by email.

I finished our group reads for this month & am squeezing in a couple other books before March, starting with a sci-fi book, Antagonist.

That series if by far one of my favorites though it is REALLY going to piss you off because after you finish the 2nd book you will be joining the rest of us that have been waiting for EVER for the 3rd book.

Just finished The Spirit Stone for another discussion group, and am starting our March installments, with Child of the Prophecy first, followed by Black Powder War. Then I have 2 more books for another discussion group, The Quiet Invasion and The Curse of Chalion.

Am Also reading Elantris and is a bit meh about it. It's not really grabbing me like GotM did but it's still enjoyable.
Am also listening to The Name of the Wind at work (lorry driver) and I have to say I'm not a fan. Am getting a bit annoyed at how perfect Kvothe is and how he excels at everything he ever does.

Janna, when I was reading the Malazan books, someone told me to just accept being confused and go along for the ride, which I basically did. However, I did read the Tor.com reread blog (chapter summaries and discussion) for some of the more confusing bits, and that helped. It's mostly spoiler free. I have read the basic Erickson series but also have the Esslemont books, which I have not yet read. It is one of the most challenging, thought-provoking, and deeply satisfying series I've ever read. Some storylines worked better for me than others, but overall, I thought it was amazing.
