Ramiro | 2 comments Hi, new to this group. I am about to re-read the corpus books (after 25 years since the first read). When I finish with the core, what should I read next, the 2 sequels and then the many prequels, or the many prequels and finish with the sequels?

Cherie (cherienb) | 4 comments By corpus I assume you mean Dune, Dune Messiah, and Children of Dune? Honestly I usually stop after those three, the next three were not as rich as the first three. I've never re-read those at all, unlike the first three which I have read many times. I'd go into the prequels almost like historical research, as while they fill in details on many of the fascinating aspects of Frank Herbert's works, they are not as deep.

Ramiro | 2 comments By "corpus" I mean the six books written by Frank Herbert (those you mention + God Emperor, Heretics and Chapterhouse) I really enjoyed them.
My question is whether to read the sequence "corpus-sequels-prequels" or "corpus-prequels-sequels"

Cherie (cherienb) | 4 comments In that case, I'd probably recommend "corpus-prequels-sequels." Finish with Frank Herbert's writing as the last voice you hear.
