When she's talking about her short term memory issues she mentions the case of H.M. who was an inspiration for Before I Go to Sleep and then her cousin brings her Death With Interruptions. Our past reads are everywhere!

i had to giggle at that. Plus, i had multiple Ryan Adams (love him!) songs in my head.

She also touched on the ailment from Left Neglected. (Did we read that in this club?)

Oh yeah, left neglect. I forgot about Left Neglected, yet another absurd portrayal of brain injury!

I finished the book on the train ride home.

Overall I found it to be a pretty quick read. Some of the narrative bothered me how it switched from things she could remember /know to things she couldn't have until after the fact...in thinking of her doctor appointments in particular like how shed just slip in what the doctor's notes were.

We will also be picking our next book(s) at the meeting this weekend.

I read the book that inspired Left Neglect - Don't Leave Me This Way by Julia Garrison. Interesting read.

I had a hard time with this one. I had the same issues as Jessica.
