This book was a simple read (I listened to it on audio CD - very good narrator) but it was unlike anything I've ever read. The story is in the perspective of a gorilla named Ivan, who lives in a mall. This makes the tale unique & enjoyable. I laughed, I cried... I felt sad & happy & compassionate. Again, I got the audio CD on this from the library - which I recommend, as the narrator is the best I've ever listened to. Overall, I recommend this book to everyone, of all ages!

I read this a year or two ago and loved it, as well!
I also loved this one.

It's been on my TBR since it came out...still have to get around to it...
I'm reading this right now, not by audiobook though. And, it is so sad. I want to cry my eyes out.
I also read this for the tag --- just so you know there are illustrations in the print book; just another charming thing to add to the story.
