In Chapter 15 there is a dinner party on Christmas Day evening. The mummers put on a play about "St. George, a Saracen and a funny Doctor". Since the book was published way before the first season of Doctor Who, it couldn't be the same Doctor. I do, however, like to think the story is about the 10th Doctor who encounters the Krillitanes with the help of somebody who could be mistaken for St. George.
Anybody else up for that sort of wishful thinking?
