I bet that Gat is related with her accident, at least with the undressed part., it's just some of my crazy theories, but seriously, when they chatted on the beach, this was what seems to be.

I think that they are all part of something that happened to her it was all thier lies fiyyed together .

“Did you get back to sleep?” I ask my aunt as we head toward the kitchen. “Last night, was Johnny up?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she says.

This book.... OMG, I bet that the Liars had something to do with her accident and the family its covering it up. Im loving the history development ^o^ #sogood

I have no idea of what's happening. I just....ah! I can't wait to find out!!!

I feel like Cady is going to lose her mind trying to figure this mystery out haha. As far as theories go, I think the Liars found out something about the will and who would be getting everything and tried to get rid of the competition...but that's just a theory. still don't have a favorite character xD they're all kind of shady...except Cady, but we can't really trust her as a narrator considering her memory issues and stuff. I'm still loving it!

This book is getting so amazing!What I love most is the fairytales in italics, so creative.Oh My God i need to know what happened summer 15 NOW!!!

I LOVE GAT & CADY their all such beautiful characters. Sooo much of this book is confusing thou summer 15 what the F happened!!

I literally take a 5 minutes break every chapter to try and figure out what happened, but I CAN'T!!! I don't think its just the fact that the cousins had something to do with her accident, its probably more than that. I don't think that the author would want it to be this predictable. And that? SCARES THE HELL OUT OF ME!!!! Loving the book though!

I don't know about this book so far. I don't trust books where I have no favorite character. Everyone is shady and weird and rich and spoiled. I kind of like Johnny and I thought I liked Gat but he's starting to get on my nerves. AND ALL OF THESE DANG SECRETS. Everyone's silence is irritating. And what is up with Mirren?

Also, I think that Gat pushed her in or something. Maybe that's why he mentioned Heathcliff and how he became a monster.

I think that this book is seriously awesome and I don't got no problem with that. I'll be done in a lil bit

When Gat asked Cadence 'Do you remember the time when we went out on that flat rock?' I was like OMG he pushed her, he went and pushed her off that rock didn't he?! But now I'm not so sure, he is definitely hiding something though and the Liars are all in on some secret that Cadence isn't allowed to know. And that cliff jumping scene, wow, was full of suspense when they were all telling her not to jump and then she did...there's gotta be a link to her accident here!

The Liars and the family know what happened to Cady. They are hiding it from her. I can't wait to find out what happens. I think that Gat is more involved with what happened to Cady then the other Liars.

Why did Mirren get sick all of a sudden? I don't believe that it's just a simple cold.

Cady is the character that I like but I wouldn't call her my favorite.

Love the Wuthering Heights reference!!! After that I feel like this is a modern day retelling of it. At least the love relationship between Gat and Candence

This book. I don't think I have a favorite character. I guess it would be Cady, but she is high half the time & is missing a good chunk of her mind so I don't know if I can trust anything she says.

I definitely think Gat and the liars had something to do with the accident. I mean just tell her what she wants to know already. But I think the whole family has a stake in taking her down or making her feel crazy if Grandad is leaving her everything.

I think the liars are all high as shit. That's why they don't want to do anything. Especially Mirren. At first I thought Mirren was high on coke, but now I really think she is stealing Cady's pills. Actually I think all the Liars are, why else was Gat randomly in her room? That's one of my out-there theories.

I am definitely interested to see how everything works out.

I have no favorite character and that worries me. They all kind of annoy me in a way. I hate the secrecy.
I got super mad when Gat tried to make her feel bad about going to Europe, she didn't care about that trip she cares about the gap in her mind and the terrible repercutions it has on her. But I do agree with him about Cady wanting pity. Pity will make them acknowledge the fact that something happened and maybe it will make them talk about it. WHAT IS UP WITH MIRREN? Girl is shady as hell. At first I thought she was pregnant but then she said she made her boyfriend up. My first theory was that Gat had died that night of the accident, but then we see him during summer 17 so I was like "oh you're not dead".

mirren is either pregnant or sick from the pills shes steeling from caddence... her pills are disapearing and i just have this crazy theory that caddence is seeing stuff that does not exist

I definitely agree with your theory Nesrine. I thought she was pregnant but then she confessed to her lie so it seems likely she is taking Cady's pills. I also think that Gat has something to do with her accident. He seems just so connected and suspicious, yet I still find myself loving his character. I find that the more I read, the more questions I have and ahhhh I just have to keep reading. I'm really loving it so far, it's impossible to put down.

I think she is seeing ghost of people who used to be. Nobody is answering her emails because they are dead. The family refuses to encourage her continually speaking of ghosts.....idk this book is so suspenseful and I want something paranormal to happen lol

Leslie! Yes! OMG. That makes so much sense. The disgusting house, why they won't acknowledge her accident. Why the Liars don't have to go to dinner. The unreturned emails. Why the parents are all messed up.

This is boggling my mind! I need to know what is up with Mirren, the Aunt that walks around at nigh and what happen to Cady!

I'm liking the metaphors and the mystery surrounding Cady. There's definitely more going on then everyone wanting her to remember the accident on her own. Maybe she's the only one who survived an accident and that's why the non-Cady liars are never around the others, and why the rest of the family's acting so weird. Or there's a lot of things going on without everyone and combined, something's going to explode soon.

I'm not sure what to think if this book. I didn't like the first part but now it just got more interesting. I don't feel any connection to any of the characters. I don't really care about them but omg the mystery! So much to find out.. Time to keep reading.

This book is still extremely slow for me. Not my personal favorite and like many others I don't have a favorite character. I'm one of those people however, that has to finish reading what I started wether I like it or not.

Still extremely confused and I think Gat did something that caused Cady's accident.

SO MANY MYSTERIES! My head is going to explode. I cannot figure out what happened to her! I think maybe Gat had something to do with it? Not sure.
I really really like the fairytales, I think they're my favorite parts. So creative!

I feel like I'm finally really getting into this book! The writing style took me a while to get used to but now I love it! I feel like it really reflects the way cady thinks due to her accident! I have a feeling that gat was involved with the accident but I'm not sure!

I'm also really curious to see if these fairy tales tie in some how....

I love the Fairytales! They are really really good. All the characters seem so shady. I like Cady, though.
I'm gonna go back to reading the book now.

That whole thing about all the liars being dead makes perfect sense actually. I also think the grandfather might have something to do with it, he's been going off his rocker, too.

Another theory... maybe Cadence's mom is poisoning her. She says her mom is constantly all over her since she's been sick. If the family fortune really is in her name, her mom may be jealous. Especially since her mom is materialistic.

I feel like something is definitely up with Cadence's mom. She got touchy about the Boston house, and Granddad told Cady not to talk about how his lawyer "took good care of" Cady because her mom will just stir up trouble again. Mirren is ill as well now too. Seems like there's something SERIOUSLY messed up going on. Either that or they're all dead. Cady talked about the parallel universe thing.

It's so creepy how Cady's family seems like they are hiding something from her. Maybe they are trying to protect her from something horrible that happened summer 15 but it seems mean to keep that a secret.

This book is so crazy! It's like, I understand nothing, but yet I understand everything! It's so mysterious and I have so many theories as to Cadence's accident. The Liars, I believe, were definitely involved, or at least a couple of them. I believe that Mirren and Gat are definitely involved. Mirren and Gat are so conscious for her safety and they just act so strange and different around her then previous summers. Maybe they witnessed her accident, or had some part in it, and were two scared to tell anyone. I have no idea, and I can't wait to find out what happened in Summer Fifteen! Gah, I love this!

I dont think Gat, Mirren or Johnny are real.

Is anyone else freaking out about her girl cousin? I'm forgetting her name at the moment but how is she sick?? What is she sick with?? I need these answers today!! I'm reading this entire book in one day, a couple hours actually.

I think Cady has a problem. I am guessing she has PTSD and she's having flashbacks.

So... my theory, since almost the beginning of the book, is that they all got in some kind of accident and Gat, Johnny and Mirren died. Probably drowned (that's why Mirren is having that weird "disease"...) and Cadence was the only survivor. The PTSD is making her imagine the Liars. I've been keeping track and none of the Liar interact with anyone else in summer seventeen, so it kind of makes sense...

The theories on here are so interesting, and they make a lot of sense. I'm loving the mystery and I'm looking forward to continuing on now! I'm worried about Mirren, it's definitely more than a cold. And the fact that everyone's weird about Cady's pain and medication raises a lot of questions, especially since some characters seemed very insensitive about it at points, when they know full well Cady had quite a serious accident.

I want to find out what happened during summer fifteen so badly now. Almost there!

None of the Liars interact with anyone but Cadence, and they are all suddenly allowed to live in a house by themselves. A house that is falling into disrepair, despite the presence of a staff that keeps the rest of the properties in check. The Liars never replied to Cadence's emails and they never received her gifts. Taft talks about Cuddledown being haunted, and after Mirren supposedly reads him a story, everyone packs up and moves out to New Clairmont. Carrie is sleepwalking (which is the only time she mentions Johnny, and how he is sometimes up then when she is) and Will has nightmares. Carrie and Penny are huggy now, as though they've bonded over something recently. And Penny is pressuring Cadence to bond with the littles. Bonnie is obsessed with death. Grandpa Harris is calling Cadence Mirren and doesn't want to be reminded about the things that aren't there anymore.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Liars are dead. Cadence survived Summer fifteen (maybe when they all jumped off the cliff together), but the rest of them didn't. The island is haunted now, and Cadence isn't the only one seeing ghosts. Everyone is spooked and acting accordingly.
That's the best I can come up with so far. I'm not entirely sure yet how the inheritance fits into everything...or if Cady is even a "victim" in the truest sense of the word. We shall see!

I think Johnny, Mirren, and Gat are dead which would explain why no one but Cadence is interacting with them. They're boat must have caught on fire or something and Cadence was the only one to survive, that's what I see. She keep seeing them when she is by herself or high on medication because she feels guilty for having survived.
I wouldn't say I have a favorite character.
They are very shallow people at the core so it is hard to relate to them in a more profound way. I enjoy reading about them and their island though. Can the island be my favorite character?

I have had so many theories pop into my head like I thought only Gat was dead ....then i was like maybe they are all dead...but I don't really think thats the case but it would explain a lot. I don't like how super shady and secretive everyone is being about summer 15 I really want to know what happened. I am so going to finish this book today. As for favorite characters I don't know they all can get on my nerves I think the closest thing I have to a favorite character is Cadence oh and I go with Yolanda the Island I love the island....I want a private island lol

Sadly, the truth is I'm pushing up this book to know the end, just to know it. My head goes everywhere when I sit to read it, I hardly relate to the characters and I don't care at all about them. BUT I'm definitely going to re-read it. I don't think the problem is the book, is just my effing difficulty to concentrate. Wrong time for me to read it.

I have a ton of theories about that night! I like what someone said about the other three Liars being dead, that just kind of makes sense (nit that that really makes sense but... Ugh. You know. #denythelie -- back to reading!! P.s. Loving the 'fairy tales' :) so eerie and cool.

This book is so suspenseful and it's driving me crazy!! Especially because I've been so busy and haven't been able to read all that much!! Mirren drives me crazy because I think she's a snob to everyone, especially Cadence. Also, Gat is confusing and frustrating. First he's like "we can't be together like that" and now he's like "I love you" and it's just AGH

This is driving me bonkers. These people are hiding something from Cady and she mustn't know. Speaking of ghosts and supernaturals, cousin Bonnie has sure taken an interest in them. Hmmm.
