The Spy Who Came In from the Cold by John le Carré

The story was quite clever, but so many lies were told by so many people that it was difficult to follow. I was very disappointed by the ending & felt the author chose an easy option.

I didn't like this one either.

A lot of the Smiley books have depressing endings. I can’t help but think he was making a point.

If you want to have a peaceful and contented life-don't become a spy - especially if you want to die of old age
