Romance Readers Reading Challenges discussion

The romance novel revolves around a married couple.The wife passes away and the husband has a hard time trying to get over it.The entire novel revolves around the wife's diary and the husband continuing it.
Another woman comes into the story and falls in love with the grieving husband but the husband doesn't move forward.I think the novel is narrated from that woman's point of view
(the book cover had an image of a cottage, a fence and road)

Could it possibly be Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas? I haven't read it, but read a very extensive review of it several years ago and it stuck with me.
