WILD from your list.
I'd also consider LOOKING FOR ALASKA, or the Greg Iles book.

3) A Court of Thorns and Roses
A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1) by Sarah J. Maas

4) Soulless
Soulless (Parasol Protectorate, #1) by Gail Carriger

5) Children of Time
Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky

I've been anxious to get to A Court Of Thorns and Roses. Good choice!

I read Looking for Alaska quite awhile ago and remember liking it. "Straight and fast" has stuck with me years later. (Read it to get the reference.) I do recommend that one.

But, I HATED The Light Between Oceans. It made me super angry and I do not recommend that one. I was going to give it 2 stars, it really deserves 2 stars, but the ending... (view spoiler)

Also, re: The Light Between Oceans, (view spoiler)

Kelsey #7 has always seemed interesting to me, and I've read #8, which was pretty decent. So I second (or third?) those!

Thanks for your input, Kelsey...

I've read #8 (Soulless) also, and liked it as well.

If picking one I haven't read yet,
#2 (A Court of Thorns 7 Roses)
and #7 (Wild)
appeal to me the most.

PS: #7 (Wild) was made into a movie in 2014, starring Reese Witherspoon.

I'm gonna toss in All the Bright Places since I'm not digging any of the options so far, aside from Looking for Alaska, which would be a reread for me.

I've read some spoilers from Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail and I absolutely will not read that book.

Thanks, Erin... I added that one to my wishlist today already. Looks really interesting.

I saw that... Another Goodreads "friend" of mine from another group read it and gave it 5 stars. It looked interesting, but I can't get an ebook from my library, so I was reluctant to add it to my tbr list. I can borrow a hard copy though, so I decided to finally add it.

The poll for Feb. 2017 is now available!

message 15: by Bkwmlee (new)

Bkwmlee | 545 comments Tough choice, as there are a few titles I found interesting and actually would like to read. I eventually decided to go with #5 though, mostly because it has been on my TBR list for a LONG time, plus I already have the book (bought it more than a year ago but never got around to reading it), so should be easy for me to go pull it from my shelf and dust it off, lol.
