Gill | 5719 comments Updated 3rd May 2017: see also Messages 20, 21 and 22.

Updated 28th February 2017: see also messages 16 and 17.

Messages 6 and 7 are a few thoughts from me re future reading etc.

Updated 19th December 2016: see also messages 8 and 9.

So, here's the thing. When I joined Goodreads I was determined to operate my 'to read' list, as a list of books that I intended to read in the near future. It's worked pretty well for me. I've never had more than 60 books on it, and I periodically cull it of books that no longer appeal etc etc.

Notwithstanding that, I still have some books on it that have been there for more than 2 years. So, what to do?

I've decided that, by the end of 2017, in relation to the 47 books that were currently on my To Read list (as of 18th October 2016), I will have either read them or taken them off the list.

Messages 2, 3 and 4 list these 47 books. I'll keep a record of my progress with them in these 3 messages.

I see some interesting titles in your list & anticipate adding some of them to my TBR once I see your reviews :)

Some great books on there Gill! I unfortunately have not been as disciplined about my to-read list. It's kind of gotten away from me. :)

message 19: by Gill (new)

Gill | 5719 comments I'm not always very disciplined re books, Greg. I'm pleased that I've managed to get on top of this. It's quite a freedom giver for me to have shortened my tbr list. Mind you, it doesn't include anything that I've added in the last few months, but I'm being a bit more realistic about what I add.
