Alice (goodreadscomalicerene) | 23 comments Hi Sarah, Would you be interested in reviewing a romantic suspense novel, The Other Side of Him. The Other Side of Him? Briefly:In the 1950's a beautiful, smart young woman, raised in a Chicago tenement, finds her ticket to escape her background by earning a scholarship to college. She is on her way to a better life when she meets a handsome and rich doctor. He is smitten with her and she is taken with him. But soon enough she learns that he is also seriously flawed. She tries to stop seeing him, but he will not be rejected. He begins to stalk her. At first he only follows her everywhere, but his behaviors become increasingly threatening, even violent on occasion. She is in great danger. At a time before any of society's institutions were in place to help such victims of domestic violence, she must find her own dramatic and life-changing way to protect herself.

My book is available in any format you like. If interested, please send me an email with particulars. alicerene1@aol.com

Thank you for considering,

Hello Sarah, could I interest you in a sci-fi read? My elevator line is 'Knives, spaceships, and dirty fighting - who says a mercenary cult can't be fun?'

If this sounds as if it might interest you, I'd love to hear from you, and I can provide most formats :)

Thank you very much for this offer!

Gina Salamon | 12 comments Hi Sarah.

I too have a book or two that would welcome your honest review. I just released Book 2 of a series, fiction - romantic suspense with a twist, and am still looking for more reviews on Book 1, but I also have a stand alone, fiction again and more romantic comedy than suspense, that is in dire need of reviews, so you can take your pick.

Below are brief descriptions of both. I can send a copy to you in pdf, but not print, I'm afraid, as all of the free print copies are already out.

SLEEPLESS - Book 1 of the Cold Case Series:
While recuperating from a near fatal gun shot wound, FBI Agent Caden O’Connor is relegated to a desk job with the newly-formed Western Tri-State Cold Case Squad. Three months in, miserable, and on the verge of depression, an anonymous letter arrives and changes everything.

Hundreds of miles away, concert violinist Alaina Reynolds is having problems of her own. First, there’s the fear that her psychiatrist wants to have her committed, then the voices that are driving her insane.

Nevertheless, when these long dead souls whisper in her ear and reveal clues that could send their killers to jail, Alaina risks all and becomes the Cold Case Squad’s new informant.

But not without taking some precautions, as the Cold Case Squad’s confidential informant is known only as SLEEPLESS.

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR ANGEL . . . OR NOT:
WARNING: If you're looking for a sweet Christian read, this ain't it.

Young and beautiful mean diddly when you’re dead. But when Jillian finds herself paired with a heavenly hunk for a mentor, she quickly decides Heaven is just where she wants to be. And shocked as Jillian is to find herself in the hereafter, it in no way compares to the surprises left for her sister Nicole on Earth.

The circumstances surrounding Jillian's murder leave Nicole with no choice but to follow-through with her dead sister's last good Samaritan endeavor. However, this isn't something she can do on her own, so Nicole turns to Jacob Perelli, a computer geek turned private eye, by way of taking over the family business.

Add a wannabe hitman to the mix, a couple of matchmakers, and a whole lot more, and this cast of characters will soon be having a devil of a time.

How To Train Your Angel Or Not ... is a tale of romantic suspense, disguised with an abundance of humor, and topped with a touch of paranormal fun.

You can check out the current reviews here on Goodreads, and you'll find more on Amazon and BarnesandNoble.com, as well as my website (www.GinaSalamon.com).

If you're interested just send me an e-mail at gcsalamon@aol.com

Thanks and Happy Reading,

Gina

Shashi | 19 comments I will be grateful if your review my book Songs of the Mist
Below is my Publisher’s introduction that will connect you with the book more deeply.

Press Note from Publisher:
The story of the Song of the Mist revolves around few characters, who are in pursuit of something within their lives. It has Ayan, an Indian scientist at Geneva, who drops everything in search of the monk of his childhood dream; Calliope from Vienna, who had fallen in love and then lost him to circumstances, and finally traces him living in Rishikesh; Vashudha, a celebrity singer from Mumbai, who had drifted apart, and now after decades wants to know if she really needed him. They all converge to Rishikesh in their search for an answer. And they did find Ashutosh - the Yogi; Anishka - a newly ordained yogini and the mysterious wandering Monk of Himalaya
With everyone having a distinct motive in life, the story then gradually reveals the reason behind everyone’s pursuit and brings in clarity to their thoughts; a state of self-realization and divinity. The book also features some brilliant conversations between Ayan, Ashutosh and the Monk in the backdrop of Himalaya in which the distinction between science and spirituality; love and pain; life and living is beautifully brought out by the author. The last instances of the book, where all the people who had and still loved Ashutosh meet and some hidden truths bursts forth, which then gradually lay the foundation for the next book in the series, leaving the readers wanting for more.

The landscape around which the story unfolds is brilliantly penned by the author, taking the readers on a transcendental journey across the holy Himalayas. Easily, one of the most interesting reads of the year.

Brief Biodata:
Born in Uttar Pradesh, INDIA; Shashi studied Civil Engineering in New Delhi and has been living in Chennai for around two decades but has travelled the length and breadth of Himalaya over decades.
The core theme of this book has been in his heart for over twenty-five years and he has shaped the book with great care.

He is a renowned spiritual blogger in India and a prolific writer of the Japanese poetry form – Haiku. An avid photographer, he has shot photos across India's spiritual spots. This book is his labor of love, and Shashi hopes you will discover the key to your innate divinity once you finish reading the book .

Upon awakening from surgery, Ethan Miller is horrified to discover that his wife had lost her memory because of the car accident. Diane struggles with her new reality. She has no memory of her husband, children, and family. She feels lost, frightened, and afraid to face a future with no past, and an uncertain future.
“I am so afraid of everything, Ethan. How can I live my life with nothing to tie me to this earth! My life is a blank page, with no beginning, no middle, and a definite ending. I have a name with no history. I have a family with no connection. I have parents who can’t accept the new me. It’s just too much for me. I can’t take the stress of the unknown. I just want to die!”

How do you live your life without the memories that tie you to the love of your life, to the maternal love for your children? Diane’s husband, children, and family are strangers to her. Can Diane live without a past? Can her family cope with the fact she may never remember them?
For better or worse, in sickness and in health. These words mean something to Ethan, and through his unconditional love, Diane finds her way home.

Dear Sarah, Tania, and Keerthy

At the age of seven, I have started to write... I finally decided to let one book go. I am from Croatia and kindle publishing from our country is something like SF (very complicated). The reason why I decided to publish this book : I really think it is very good (psychological, suspense mystery) thriller.

Title-Girl from a Train Station
Mystery, Thriller & Suspense, Psychological

This Central Train Station is the broken heart of a sleepy Golden Valley and more than just a destination. In the Golden Valley, kids grow up slowly while the old die fast. By the chapel, wounded souls pray for forgiveness; old wives say the rosary before morning mass for the redemption of their sins, while the joints of comfort circle around the docks of the sleepy valley. If you take a wrong turn, the Golden Valley might become your ‘Mistress of the Darkness’. Not all soul candies are made of chocolate.

As an adult, a troubled psychologist (Julia) finds herself on an emotional roller coaster after a teenage girl she helps out in life is presumed missing. Buried childhood memories from the Golden Valley come back to haunt her as she suddenly gets involved in a confusing police investigation. Meanwhile, a next-door professor (Legetin) loves to play mysterious mind games (‘good neighbor-bad neighbor’). Gradually, Julia becomes a slave to her emotions of alienation and sorrow. In a desperate search for identity, she is torn between her love for the man of her present and the woman of her past.

My book is free for download today and tomorrow.
I would appreciate honest review. It would mean world to me. I would be extremely grateful. Because, as first time publisher, without reviews you get lost in Amazon woods. Thank you in advance.

The only thing is I never put spoilers in my reviews or put negative reviews on line. I tend to try to let the other know if it was something I didn't enjoy. My feeling is just because I didn't care for it doesn't mean you won't. However I will still give an honest rating if asked for a review.

Hi Laura,

Would you be interesting in reviewing children's books?

I am looking for book reviewers to review 2 of my eBooks, Big and Small in the Mirror, and The Magic Leaf. I have a 3rd book, Humanitarians, Visionaries, Heroes, and You, which is available in print only.

Big and Small in the Mirror is about bullying that happens in the school environment. The two main characters, Carlo and Marco, learn the effects of bullying on their self-images and how positive relationships help them grow. The book is appropriate for children between 8-10 years old.

I provide discussion questions at the end of the book to help parents and teachers facilitate a discussion about bullying, and to put the story in perspective.

The Magic Leaf is about a small-town boy who learns the value of friendship. The appropriate reading age would be 6-8. It has beautiful illustrations.

Humanitarians, Visionaries, Heroes, and You is a collection of 7 inspiring mini-biographies and my own reflections, intended to encourage the reader to join a growing movement towards social responsibility and global citizenship. This book is for an older audience (10 – 12+). It is sold on my website and Amazon.ca.

If you decide to review one or both of the eBooks, I will send a copy to you. Both eBooks are on Amazon and in the iBooks Store, so you can choose a Kindle or ePub copy.

If you want a copy of Humanitarians, Visionaries, Heroes, and You, let me know.

Thank you for your time.

Mark Gray | 5 comments Here's the synopsis of my latest novel, The Day I Disappeared:
Barry Evans is a small town hero with an amazing wife, talented son and a promising career. Everything about his life is perfect.

The only problem is that he might not exist.

These memories reside inside the mind of a man that everyone keeps calling Grant Weston. Grant and his wife are separated, he’s disconnected from his daughter and he’s just woken up in a jail cell after being brought in on a drunken disorderly charge. He’s considerably less successful than Barry with a laundry list of problems to contend with.

Grant doesn’t remember any of this because his head is full of nothing but the memories he formed as Barry Evans. As far as he knows, that’s reality--wherever he’s ended up is some kind of cruel joke. Riding home with a woman claiming to be his wife, he’s desperate to find answers no matter how crazy he sounds trying to figure things out.

Her response? “You’re not gonna try to blame aliens again, are you?”

It turns out that Grant has been acting strange long before Barry Evans woke up as him. Sneaking off to meet with strange friends, claiming to be an alien abductee, becoming more detached than usual…

Waking up to such unusual circumstances, Barry’s not sure what to think about anything, including who he really is. Is his mind filled with false memories? Are aliens real and behind this bizarre situation? Can he travel back to his old life or somehow find happiness in this one?

The Day I Disappeared uses an unbelievable scenario to examine universal conflicts related to identity, success, love and family. Whether you’re a big sci-fi fan or not, you’ll find plenty to connect with in this paranoid thriller that will keep you engaged and guessing until the end.

If you're interested, I'd love to send you a .pdf version. Please message me with the best email address to send it to. Thanks!

Robert Rapoza | 12 comments Hi Sarah,

I'm looking for reviewers for my recently published short story (about 8,500 words) 'Nazca'. The genre is action adventure / thriller. If interested, I can either send you a PDF or I believe I can reduce the price to free on Amazon for a short time to allow you to download it to an electronic reader.

When Nick Randall earns a research position at the infamous Nazca Lines, he thinks it's a dream come true. But his dream becomes a nightmare when everyone on his team mysteriously disappears following a massive sandstorm. As Nick searches for clues that will lead him to his friends, he makes a frightening discovery. Something is lurking in the sands of Nazca. Something previously unknown to mankind. Can Nick save his friends, or will he fall victim to the mysteries of Nazca?

Jessica Fisette (jvfisette) | 1 comments Fire and Ice (The Aldurian Chronicles, #1) by Jessica V. Fisette

Hi, I'm currently seeking reviews on my latest release: Fire and Ice (The Aldurian Chronicles Book One). I want to up my review count on Amazon as well as Goodreads and wherever else you're able to post. Fire and Ice is available on all major platforms and I can offer PDF, Mobi, or Epub. Private message me if interested. Here is the summary and a short excerpt:

Blurb: It’s been months since the accident on Asher Creek bridge that nearly claimed Allie's life. She hasn't heard from her boyfriend Phoenix since the fire station went up in flames, and she's no closer to finding the man who saved her from drowning that night. To make matters worse, she's somehow lost the elemental abilities that connected her to Phoenix—something she once believed only they shared. Vivid, unrelenting dreams have kept her searching for answers. Phoenix is in danger—she knows it. But, now they've found her: familiar, official-looking men who act nothing like the federal agents they impersonate. To keep her family safe, Allie decides to leave the only home she’s known since she was two years old and search for Phoenix on her own. But, others have different plans for her. The man who saved her returns, and he isn’t alone. A powerful, evil cult leader is after Allie, and she has no choice but to accept the protection of an unexpected ally who holds the answers to secrets from her past. Every step brings her dangerously close to finding Phoenix and discovering her real identity, but the truth is far worse than she ever could have imagined.

Excerpt: “The Acolytes must have figured out I planned to take the back roads through the small towns,” he said as the inconspicuous, older silver Corolla drove down a two-way paved street. “They’ve set up road blocks. My only advantage is that I can sense them. We’ll have to travel through the major cities. But, we’ll get there sooner.”

That wasn’t his only advantage. I continued to stare out the window in silence, still trying to forget the nightmare in the woods.

“I can read your mind, too. Remember?” His tone seemed annoyed.

I glanced over. “Sorry.”

I couldn’t silence the thoughts that floated through my head. I couldn’t stop thinking only a monster could be responsible for such a slaughter. I couldn’t stop seeing the electrocuted, frozen, and burned bodies over and over again.

“You should have listened to me.”

“Did you have to kill them?”

He looked at me and furrowed his brows. “Are you serious?” His eyes narrowed. “You are.”

“No.” I rubbed my temples. “I’m not sure why I asked that. Sorry. It’s just—did you have to be so cruel about it? A bullet would have worked just fine.”

“So you would prefer I shoot them because it’s less messy? Mercy doesn’t instill fear in the hearts of your enemies. Clean and painless doesn’t discourage others from rising up and replacing the ones you defeated. It’s their mess to clean up, and they’ll think twice before being so bold again.”

I looked up and stared at him. He faced the road as he drove, shoulders relaxed against the seat. His golden hair fell over his forehead and a hint of stubble freckled his golden-tanned skin. Even from the side, his piercing eyes were powerful, commanding attention without effort. I looked down at my wrists as more gruesome images flashed across my mind. Lucifer probably had similar features.

My eyes darted to his clenched jaw and my cheeks flushed. “I’m sorry—”

“No, you’re not.” His sharp tone made me flinch. “I know this is all hard for you to accept. You’ve lived a quiet life in a small town, never even considering having to make choices like this until recently. But, this is normal for me.”

“So you keep reminding me.” I closed my eyes. I couldn’t take it any more. I glared at him. “What are you trying to say? That if you’d had your way, you and Janz would have taken me in at two years old and taught me to ‘protect’ myself—which you still haven’t explained any of that. That I wouldn’t have learned the horrible lesson about the value of human life? That I wouldn’t bat an eye at watching you electrocute a dozen men? That the smell and sight wouldn’t turn my stomach? Wow. Janz really did screw me over by letting me grow up in a loving family away from you.”

“And, how was that working out for you?” He glared at me, his words cold and slow. “What’s your count, so far? Three? Four, if you count Janz. He still hasn’t made contact. Maybe you did kill him.”

I stared back at him. My chest burned more than when the Acolyte had punched me in the stomach. “Maybe I did,” I whispered.

Alyse Nennig | 3 comments Hi, would anyone be interested in reviewing a recently published paranormal romance/erotica where hunters view vampires as victims instead of monsters and search for a cure to save the human within? It's called Never Again (Book of Origins, Volume One) If so, please send me a PM. I can supply a PDF or mobi file!

All vampires were once human. Who says they can't be again?
Never Again (Book of Origins 1) by Alyse Nennig
Carrying invisible wounds from a tragic childhood, Hannah Jacobs doesn't allow herself to fall in love - until she meets John Trott. Sexy as hell, charming, and sensitive, she immediately finds herself drawn to him and, within days, giving him her heart. Twice broken, John effortlessly makes her heart whole again, except Hannah's buried fear threatens to shatter it once more as dangerous circumstances reveal dark secrets.

One is a vampire and the other a vampire hunter, making a relationship impossible as they’ve been labeled natural enemies throughout history. A witch's journal, however, tells a much different tale. Centuries old it holds a dark and troubled past with a cure and prophecy, giving Hannah and John a future.

But, it's one they'll never see…if she has a shattered heart.

Thanks for considering my novel!
Alyse
