This book is perfect to read right now, especially if you're a seasonal reader like myself. What Light is a YA contemporary romance, it's set in the winter/December and it mostly takes place on a Christmas tree lot. How fun is that, right? I've never been on the Christmas tree selling side and this is a perfect peak into a family's life of owning a Christmas tree farm.

I was so excited to read this and ended up reading it early. I loved this book.

I went into Chapters (Canadian bookstore) today and looked through a final copy of What Light (since I read an ARC copy) and noticed a photo at the beginning of my copy wasn't in the final copies. I found the photo included to gave a sentimental element to the story and such meaning. I couldn't understand why the photo wouldn't be included in the final copies. When I got home I stumbled upon this blog post by Jay Asher that expains the photo and the reasoning why it's not in the final copies.

I found this very interesting and wanted to share it with you guys. Mostly, I wanted you guys to see the photo.

Does seeing this photo while reading the book make any difference to you? Does it give the story any more meaning? What are your thoughts?

Not a problem! I'm so glad you're enjoying it (especially bc I adored this book)! Ah, it's so easy to get sucked into this story, I don't blame you for almost reading it in a day!

Let us know when you're finished the book.
