☆Joycedale☆ | 40 comments From Clary's shelf I choose
Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn
She gave it 5 stars
I give it 3 stars
I wasn't really impressed as much as I had hoped.

message 18: by Emma (new)

Emma (emmapalmave) | 37 comments So, I've got Zoe - hi, there! - and this time, I will pick two books: my students are about to read The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien I read it a while ago, and I forgot to add it here. Zoe gave it five stars, and I gave it four back then. I might change my mind, though. Then again, since that won't be exactly a challenge, I'll also go fo Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell, just to keep it fun. She gave it five stars; let's see how that one goes.

Ah! I'm so excited for you to read both- They're so so different! Going to take a look at your shelf now! (:

Zoe (zo-ereader) | 490 comments Okay I've chosen Brave New World which Emma gave 4 stars! I've been meaning to read it for a while so this should be a good reason to do so (:

It is an odd mix! O'Brien's is so gloomy, yet so oddly beautiful when it comes to describing natural settings. A friend of mine read Eleanor and park a while ago and she loved it. Maybe it'll be nice to read something fun. =)

Clary | 6 comments From Joycedale's shelf I chose Beautiful Oblivion.
That one has been on my TBR-shelf for ages...
She gave it 5 stars, let's see how I ike it

message 24: by Angie (new)

Angie (15angie27) From Megan's shelf, I've chosen to read Goodnight PunPun vol.3 which she rated 5 stars. I've already read the first two and they were great, but I have no friends who've also read it to talk about it with.

message 25: by Megan (new)

Megan (lethargicpoison) | 32 comments Angie, that is so exciting! It's my favorite manga series by far.

Also, could you possibly friend me? Your profile is private so I can't do anything! :P

YAY! I can't wait to see what you think of it!

message 30: by Angie (new)

Angie (15angie27) I've finished reading Goodnight PunPun Vol. 3, and its my favorite in the series so far. I rated it 4.5/5 stars.

message 31: by Emma (new)

Emma (emmapalmave) | 37 comments So, I have just finished both The Things They Carried and Eleanor and Park Zoe gave five stars to both books. O'Brien's gets 4.5 - although "How to Tell a True War Story" will always be a solid 5 in my book -, and Rowell's gets 3 stars; I did like it, but it kind of hit too close to home.

message 32: by Tallulah (new)

Tallulah Johnston (tallulah98) | 32 comments My partner is Iulia and I have chosen The Help, from her shelf.
Iulia rating: 5 stars
My rating: TBD
Also if I have time I will be reading the book I originally chose for the December copy cat challenge as I never finished it!

Oooo let me know what you think about this one because I read it as well and would be interested to hear what you think

message 37: by Megan (new)

Megan (lethargicpoison) | 32 comments I finally finished Echo! I rated it 5 stars. While it was a bit frustrating to switch between characters just as the going was getting good, the ending was SUPERB and I adored it just so much (I suppose it helps that South Pacific is my favorite musical! I was teary eyed during that ending!).

I just want to thank Angie for recommending it! It was just so good!

message 38: by Tiina (new)

Tiina (cauchemarlena) | 371 comments Oh god...
I just finished All the Bright Places and it has left me with tears running down my cheeks and my heart with so much ache... It's just,I didn't think I could feel this again - definitely one of the touching books I've ever read.

message 39: by Angie (new)
