Roxy (bookchick313) I can't remember if this is my second or third year attempting to climb Mt. Ararat, but this is the year I will finally reach the peak. I always read at least 50 books per year, often times between 80-100; however, I love shopping, and my favorite thing to shop for is books, especially when I find popular titles on sale for the Kindle at $1.99!!! Needless to say, I have a problem, but I'm hoping to minimize my TBR a little this year and at least get to several of the books that have been sitting on my shelves (both physical and virtual) for years. My physical TBR currently sits at 116, while my Kindle TBR consists of about 600 titles. My goal is to read 100 books this year, and 100 pages a day. If I manage to accomplish that, Mt. Ararat is totally achievable, but that is a huge 'if.' I'm full of hope for 2017, so here goes nothing!

Best of luck...I love to shop for books also! It is the only shopping I truly enjoy!

I'm glad you like the idea, I think it's a good one too. Thanks for reminding me of that book. I've definitely heard of it before, but somehow, it wasn't on my Amazon wishlist. I might have to read it this year. =)

Pamela | 76 comments Good luck Lisa! Looks like you're off to a great start already. For me 100 pages a day would be too ambitious, but maybe I need to reach for that as my owned and unread books are nearly 1,000.

Emma (wordsandpeace) | 6 comments 100 pages a day, wow! My average per day last year was 68 pages. Good luck!

Do what you can, every little bit counts! I'm sure your TBR is not as big as mine either, especially when you consider how many books are on my Kindle!

Yes, I not really into post apocalyptic books, but these are really good. Good combination of humor as well as a deeper look into the nature of zombies and consideration of the fact that they were once humans too.
