Only three more books and I'm done my second chain! I have to finish it before the 31st, so better get cracking (or reading).
Karin, I am amazed at how you have stuck with this game. Congratulations on completing your chains and upon the reading you have done!

Thanks. It is the only game I'm playing here :)

Ahhh! That's just the reason that I've failed at this game...too many groups and other games going with little crossover to this one.

Actually, I am doing reading challenges elsewhere, just not on pick a shelf. What I do is read a bunch of books for other challenges, check here to see if I can put them in a month's category or not, and then put together a chain based on that. I had read all but six of the books on this second chain (36 books) and the bulk of the rest are for other challenges. Many are books I read for the Olympics Game, and now they are mostly coming from my Reading with Style challenge.
That said, I limit my challenges a lot and usually only do 2 or 3, but I do have a few places with simpler things, like pbt where it's a shelf theme every month (that gets me to write reviews, some better than others.)

Irena's Children: The Extraordinary Story of the Woman Who Saved 2,500 Children from the Warsaw Ghetto by Tilar J. Mazzeo read Dec 25, 324 pages Mud Clue #1
This is my last book for my second chain, and I'll post it as soon as I add all of the dates read.
