Theresa Hey everyone...I thought it would be fun to hear what new authors and/or series people want to try in 2017...mine include the following:
Patricia Briggs: Mercy Thompson Series
Jeanine Frost: Night Huntress Series
JD Robb: In Death Series
Larissa lone: Demonica Series
Sherrilyn Kenyon: Dark Hunter Series

If you would like to share any new series or authors, I would love to hear from you...Happy Reading:)

Michelle Breon I picked up the Mercy Thompson series last year (at the insistence of my husband) and have highly enjoyed reading them. They are not my usual reading, but I enjoy strong female lead characters. I still need to read the latest in the series, but my husbands has dibs as it was his Christmas present.

I'm new to Goodreads, but you did ask for new authors. Try a new book, Llanelyn, just released Nov 2016. It's not the same genre as Mercy, but has a strong female lead character.

I'm looking for a new series as well so I'm interested in seeing what others suggest as well.

Theresa I am glad to hear positive remarks about the Mercy Thompson Series...I am looking forward to trying it...I will certainly look into your rec as well...thanks!

Patricia Talley If you want Great Patricia Briggs, read her Hurog and Raven duologies, The Hobbs Bargain, The Siam books (3). I just got thru with Mercy and until the last 2 wasn't all that impressed. I have read all the Dark Hunter books except for the last 2 and they get better as they go along, if I want something I don't have to think about those are my "go to's" except for Styx's Book, that one makes me cry. I am over 50 so the sex parts I just skip over, lol. Some other Series that I really liked were Karen Chance's Cassie Palmer Series, Tami Dane has a couple really good ones out, Phillipa Bornikova has me on the edge of my seat, great stuff and for Vampires I recommend Jocelynn Drake, Fantastic. Laurell K Hamilton's Early Anita Blake Series, LKH is hit or miss with her latter stuff and I have read up until her last couple, I wrote a letter after Affliction and haven't read anything after. You have to get thru the first book of her Merry Gentry Series, after that they are pretty good. Try some JR Ward, the Angel Series is pretty good, Black Dagger Brotherhood books are good. (like with Kenyon, I just skip thru the sex.) My Husband and I both like Larry Correia's Monster Hunter Series, lots of fun, guns and really good characters. Good Reading!

Theresa Thanks Patricia...I will giv some of those a try...I am a huge BDB fan...looking forward to reading the angel series by JR Ward as well!

Lilybeth12 Finish the Kate Daniels or Hidden Legacy series by Ilona andrews
Continue the Broken destiny series by Jeanine Frost
Get back into the In Death series by JD Robb
Ps. If you want something off the beaten path try The "stray" series by Andrea K Host.

Theresa Thank you...loving the Kate Daniels series; started the In Death Series 9need to get back to it!)...thanks for the recs!

Fannie Price If you are still looking for something new to read that is in the same genre of urban fantasy, I would like to offer my own novel. After the Flesh is the debut novel in my Dragon Borne series.

Give it a read, let me know what you think. I'd love to hear your opinions!
