- The Girl from Everywhere by Heidi Heilig (Hawaii, YA, Fantasy, #1 in a series) **Hawaii before it became a state.
- The Essex Serpent by Sarah Perry (England, Adult, Historical Fiction)
- Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare (Italy, Adult, Classic)
- Journey to the River Sea by Eva Ibbotson (Brazil, Middle Grade, Historical Fiction)
- Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine (Egypt, YA, Sci-Fi)
- Stolen by Lucy Christopher (Australia, YA, Contemporary)
- A Tyranny of Petticoats edited by Jessica Spotswood (USA, YA, Historical Fiction)

It sounds great! That's why I bought it two years ago. And I remember seeing elephants in the Phoenix Zoo and they were former circus elephants, they were very sweet. Such gentle giants. And so smart! :o
