Best of luck, Keira! :D"
Thank you! Hopefully I'll go book shopping on the 30th or 31st and pick one then. But what if I don't like it.... hmm, I guess we'll hope for the best! I almost wish I hadn't read The Essex Serpent already, because that was the first book I saw in a bookshop and I absolutely loved it....

You're welcome! Well, my only advice (because I'll do it myself) is judge the book by the cover, because even if you hate the book, you'll love the cover and it will have been worth the purchase (because you get to look at it on your shelves!) :D

Luckily, I am usually always drawn to the cover first, and good covers tend to make me more interested in the book! I'm not to worried about not liking it when I read it- that can't be helped. I'm more worried about not liking the idea of the plot!

Oh I get it! xD Plenty of times I've been sucked in by the cover (not even reading the back) because I wanted to be surprised and then ended up DNFing the book. :\ But the cover! They catch my eye! :D

Luckily for me I have the store layout pretty much memorized xD
I think there are plenty of ways to loophole this one. I picked it merely for the chance for everyone to stray to something new that may be something they end up adoring, or find a new favorite author, if they don't like it well...at least they tried something new. :D
I like the idea of finding hidden gems that may not have had a whole lot of popularity, or are no longer on the hype trail.

Definitely! Or books that are hyped within a totally different circle.

It's good to just go with it, though. Just think, if you hate it, it's only one book in a whole year of books. :D

If the stuff at the front makes you uncomfortable, you could walk to the section of the shop you like (the fantasy or ya section, say) and then pick the first book you see there. If you keep your eyes of the books, its not really cheating :)

Yeah but I have so many books to read I don't like wasting time on books I'm not interested in lol

hahaha Nice loop hole!

Hopefully you can fulfill your challenge with books you already have and want to read, then. :)

I tried to find the "Like" button to like your comment and realized that this is the wrong social media platform for that. Whoops!

:D Thanks!!! :D

I just did the exact same thing! Even though your comment literally reminded me that there is no like button, I still automatically went to click on the non-existent like button!

Well hey! :D Then you know what I'm going to do for both of you? I'm going to copy/paste that into a status and leave it on my home page so you can both like it. :D
I'm very glad we're all on the same page (no pun intended) here in the group. I'm excited for this next year of reading and all the great books we get to share. :D

AH! Sorry, I don't check GR that often, thanks :) I liked the pun though!
