Classics Without All the Class discussion

You all are wonderful, but is seems that we, the moderators, can no longer keep up with this group.

First, I want to apologize. I thought I would have time to revive this group, but I just don't. I took on a new job this fall, and that has robbed me of the time I was going to give to reviving this group.

Second, I encourage you all to join another active group on Goodreads. I am a moderator on another successful group my link text. We read several classics, as well as new books as our group read. There is always plenty of discussion. If this group isn't for your, there are a lot of others.

Third, as the new year comes. I will start to archive this group. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but data trolls are real, and an inactive group is prime spamming and hacking grounds. So I'm asking you if you are reading this message, unless you believe you can revive this group, please leave it.

Thank you Kadijah for letting us know. This group has more moderators listed than any other group I'm in so too bad it couldn't remain active.

Many of the Moderators have dropped out, but have not removed themselves from the group.

Go to groups under the community tab and you can edit them - and unsubscribe. Sorry to see this group die out

It's sad to see the demise of this group. It was the first group I joined to include more classics in my reading. Thanks to everybody that made it such a pleasure. Here are two alternative groups focused on classics if anybody is interested.

Similar to Carolien, this was my first (and still only group) and I have thoroughly enjoyed it, being pushed to read out of comfort zone at times, but getting through some remarkable classic reads that I would no doubt still be procrastinating on picking up, rather than just lightweight thrillers. Huge thanks to those who have put in considerable time for such a well run group and the many who particpated. Will be gutted to see this group close

How unfortunate to see this group come to an end before I got the chance to join a reading. I'll stay for a bit in case some people decide to mod. Thanks for all the work you've done so far!
