Here's what you need to do to begin the challenge:
1. Start a topic in the group to document your progress. Here's how to create your own topic:
a) In the "discussion board" header, you'll find some topic options. Click on the "new" link to create a topic of your own.
b) Give your topic a title. Use your name somewhere in the title so that it is clear whose discussion that particular thread belongs to. No need to select a folder to post your topic into.
2. Post a comment inside your discussion to document each book you've read. At a minimum, please include a number to indicate what book # of the year it is, the title and author. It is helpful if you post a link to the book by clicking on the "add book/author" link located at the top of the comment box in which your entering your comments.
3. Repeat Step 2 often. :)
Oh! And be sure to make a post in the "Introduce Yourself!" topic. We'd love to know a bit about you!

Q: Do novellas count? A: Absolutely.
Q: Do rereads count? A: YES!
Q: Do audiobooks count? A: Yes. Yes, they do.
Q: How about Manga? Do they count? A: Yep.
Q: Comic books? A: Sure! We came up with a four to one "rule" last year. Four comics = one book
Q: Does the challenge start January 1? A: Books must be FINISHED in 2017. Books you start in December of 2016 and finish in January 2017 count. Books you start in December of 2017 and finish January 2018 do not.
Q: Can textbooks count? A: *yawn* Sure!
Q: Do books that can't be found on Goodreads still count? A: Yes! Totally counts.
Q: Can I count Children's books in the challenge? A: I think this is questionable. I mean, I love that they're getting the love from our participants but getting a full credit towards the challenge seems a bit aggressive. So lets give one credit for every 5 books read, ok? ok.
