I see you have a similar goal as I have--to reduce the number of books on my bookshelves. I see you have been making good progress on you goal.

I am trying, Rosemarie, I am trying. My problem is that I have so many books on my shelves that are unread, and I live a block from the local library, too. It is so easy to grab a new book off the shelf and forget that there is a what seems like a library-ful of books in the house.

Good luck to you on tackling your bookshelves (or as many friends call it Mt. TBR). We will accomplish this!
Oh look! A Giveaway! ;)

Mijere Zimba | 22 comments thats great what type of book do u read

message 16: by Nancy (new)

Nancy Brady (minesayn) | 202 comments I am an eclectic reader. I love various genres: romance, fantasy, mystery, suspense, thrillers, sci-fi, but tend to read less of the real literary novels. Mainstream is another that I enjoy reading as well as historical fiction. I read more fiction than non-fiction (10/1 ratio??). It all depends on my mood.

message 17: by Mijere (new)

Mijere Zimba | 22 comments i like your genres ,you have read 110 books how do manage in terms of time

message 18: by Nancy (new)

Nancy Brady (minesayn) | 202 comments I usually have two or three books going at any one time. One or two by my bedside, one by my desk, and a Nook and a Kindle. I also am retired basically; I work part-time so I have more time to read than when I worked full-time. Since reading is my main hobby, I find ways to read.

How about you? What do you like to read?

message 19: by Mijere (new)

message 30: by Mijere (new)

Mijere Zimba | 22 comments Wow thats awesome my goal was 25 what type of books do u read

message 31: by Nancy (new)

Nancy Brady (minesayn) | 202 comments Romance, thrillers, mysteries, you name it. Mostly fiction (90%), but some nonfiction. It just depends on my mood.

All reading goals (and the reading itself) is worthy. Because I am retired, basically, I have a lot more time to read. Prior to that I might be lucky if I read a book every week or two.
