a book with career advice

I sort of want to be sarcastic and out an 'anti-advice' book here:

It's a terrible book, with terrible narration, and even more terrible characters. There is no resolution when there should be and it makes me think that if you're going to be involved in law you should give a damn about more than a paycheck. I'm also thinking that the main character could benefit from therapy, which I suppose keeping a check on one's own mental health is solid advice for anyone.

If I think of something more deserving (in a sincere way) I will post it here. Instead of this rubbish book.
