Before I Fall . I love Lauren Oliver's Replica (come on October sequel!) and I'm very intrigued and tempted to backread for this author.

I read Everything Everything for another book group. It was okay. I do think the movie looks cute. I do plan to see it anyway.

This one is a biiiit of a stretch as it was technically first released in the UK in late 2016, but was only just released in the US in 2017.

The Girl with All the Gifts is a compelling post-apocalyptic novel with lots of horror and even more philosophy and science (perhaps a little TOO much science at some points).

A fun fact I learned from the author interview: M.R. Carey wrote the novel and the screenplay simultaneously and purposefully altered characters or scenes to best suit each medium. While I've heard of many authors writing screenplays for their works, it seems Carey is the first to use this writing method. Now I'm curious about the movie!

Tiny stretch, more TV than movie (though I think it's a limited series and will be released in the UK first...) but I re-read A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness by Deborah Harkness . I see a few more flaws with it than I did in college (mostly relationship-y and consent-y things) but was still pretty entertained.
