My best was Legacy by Susan Kay.

I don't think I had a worst.

Natalie (creativecountry0407gmailcom) | 163 comments My best was probably a tie between The Taming of the Queen (The Plantagenet and Tudor Novels, #11) by Philippa Gregory and The King's Curse (The Cousins' War, #6) by Philippa Gregory . I don't k think I had a worst one.

Michell Karnes (royalreader) | 229 comments I want to amend my vote...I would say I had a tie for worst between Wolf Hall and Three Sisters, Three Queens by Gregory. I just couldn't finish either one.

Just come across this thread. I LOVE Legacy - I must have read it 5-6 times and read it most recently only last year. It is brilliantly written and maintains interest throughout (how often a character becomes King or Queen and you lose interest, because then it is all just politics...?). Susan Kay makes Elizabeth a very real and fascinating character, and makes Cecil and Leicester equally so.
