Cheyenne So, I just started listening to the audiobook on YouTube. I'm 50 minutes in and just hit chapter two. As a whole the book is apparently 14 hours and thirty minutes. The book has is very detailed but instead of finding it annoying I quite like it with this book.

Tessa: (view spoiler)

Emma(view spoiler)

The Dark Sisters: (view spoiler)

The Magister: (view spoiler)

5 hours into the audiobook :: I'm really like it alot.

Milla | 5 comments I've already read all three Infernal devices books. Good, but I liked Mortal instruments better. Characters though are so special and the plot only thickens along the way. Not saying too much to spoil the experience but the complete ending of this series - I wouldn't have guessed it. Enjoy reading!

Cheyenne Thanks Milla! I previously avoided reading this series because I didn't think I would like it but so far I've been proven wrong. I have no doubt that I'll go through the whole series.

Lara (laraiswrite) I started reading this yesterday. Currently working through chapter 6 (the shadowhunter's codex). It's quite good so far! Started off a bit confusing with all the Latin terms and whatnot but I'm not lost anymore. And sooo happy I decided to read this book! ^_^

Cheyenne I avoided this book for a long time too just because I thought I wouldn't like it but I'm so glad I did.

Lara (laraiswrite) It really is fascinating. But I have to say, the 'proper role of the woman' in those days is really getting to me. I know it's an unfortunate fact of our history that women were once piddled on by men but seriously I hope Tessa gets over that soon. If there's one thing I really can't stand, it's a female main character that let's the men walk all over her and direct her way of living/thinking. Okay, I'm done venting now. Just really needed to get that off my chest. Haha. ^_^

I been slacking sorry. I been trying to get over my cold but it's not really working -_-.

Jae | 139 comments We are also reading this book in my book club Untitled (https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...). I confess I have not gotten very far :)

Cheyenne I haven't made anymore headway either. It's easier for me to just sit down and read another book instead of listening to the audiobook for this one.

Lara (laraiswrite) I just finished it! Oh my gosh, I can't believe... just wow. If I hadn't been reading from a $200 Kindle, I probably would have chucked this book across the room. Lol. Don't get me wrong, it was really good! A bit slow at points but it recovered quickly. I just can't believe the weird turn of events. And honestly, Will reminds me of the worst boyfriend I had- so obviously I really don't like him. Haha. Anyway... all in all, totally fun read! Cheyenne, you should definitely get started on it. =p

I kinda like Will but I like Jem alot too.

message 19: by Lara (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lara (laraiswrite) Jem was definitely my favorite of the two. I hope something develops there!!!! ^_^

Bianca (biancamaartje) OMG just finished it and I LOVE it. The whole atmosphere of the book is great! I think I may like this more than City of Bones... or at least just as much.
Tessa is a character I can relate to I think, I can be a little too trusting. Will and Jem are great and have more depth already than Isabelle and Alec, although I really like Isabelle. The plottwist was great, I really did not see that one coming and Nate is just loathsome!
Fantastic, maybe the best book from Clare I have read yet.

@Bianca - I still haven't finished the book but I heard that alot of people like the Infernal Device better than the Mortal Instrument. I heard alot of good things about the third book Clockwork Princess.

message 22: by Cheyenne (new) - added it

Cheyenne Just from the one chapter I listened to I know it's really good and I'll love it but it I can't seem to get myself to listen to the audiobook. I'm still going to try and finish it this month though. Wish me luck.

Bianca (biancamaartje) I will start a clockwork prince soon I hope. Can't wait and I hope it stays this good.
But with June challenge and July coming up, I'm pretty busy with other, also awesome, reads!
