I loved The Help! One of the best narratives ever! :)

Creation of Eve sounds interesting! But then again I'm a sucker for all things Renaissance.

Me too, Mia! It's been on my bookshelf forever, so I finally decided to suggest it :)

StarMan (thestarman) | 1942 comments I second Ev's suggestion of "The Wild," since I'm trying to read more non-fiction-ish books.

I also second "The Creation of Eve," sounds interesting (Michaelangelo)

I'd consider "Heartless" or "Looking for Alaska." I think I have a copy of the latter lying around somewheres.

The Handmaid's Tale, yes!

Yes! Either one would be great, although I've already read "The Help." Might re-read it, though.

I left my slime at the poll. I had some to spare. The rest I need to get through Cinder.

Thanks for voting, Ev :) And for everyone who nominated a book. All 7 nominations look like really good reads, so it will be fun to see how the voting turns out.

Ev, are you enjoying CINDER so much that you are dreading it ending? Don't worry, silly wabbit: it's a trilogy-ish thing. Quadrilogy? Or more, if you count the fractional books (1.5, 0.6, etc.) in there.

I almost always avoid those fractional books and prequels (Book #0.5) that get published after a series gets mega-popular.

How do y'all feel about the fractional/in-between books and prequels in a series? Like? Hate?

I am looking forward to the whole Lunar Chronicles series. I only wish they wouldn't publish The Fractionals in the middle of a series. Then I have to go back and read them before the next book in the series. But I can't complain. At least I'm reading.
